This was a job through a temp agency so it was only until I found full time employment.
Route Driver (Former Employee), Colorado Springs, COAugust 3, 2014
Working for pro drivers was a temp assignment from the beginning so I really didn't try to do a lot of extra stuff other than my daily job. I didn't really meet any other drivers because they had a lot that were assigned to different jobs and places. The pay was not very good but I needed something to bring money in for a short period of time.

Pros: how nice they are before hiring

If you decide not to work for them , they will let you know how mad they are at you, not in a nice way.

I love being a Truck Driver/ Published Author
Truck Driver (OTR) and local (Current Employee), Columbia, SCMarch 5, 2014
Driving Tractor Trailers is what I really love doing as a career. There's lots of money to be made, as well as seeing what the world is doing though out the day. I enjoy travel verses being confined to four walls all day. So, yes; truck driving is the way of life for me. I am an inspired writer I have published my first book called Secrets On Earth. – more... I love meeting new people and viewing different science through working while driving trucks. Truck driving is plan A to launch plan B – less

Very unpredictable
Temp Commercial Driver, Class A CDL Driver (Former Employee), Albuquerque, NMJanuary 7, 2014
Pros: good clientele.
Cons: just interested in filling her dispatch and can not keep the drivers she has busy.
Management is very unpredictable in Albuquerque.manager rarely answers your calls.Hardly ever returns your calls. Has favorites and always assigns them work regardless if somebody else is requested.Albuquerque used to be dispatched out of the home office and not Albuquerque. At that time I always got work. They promise that they will find you a temp – more... to hire position and keep you dangling on that string.Full of promises! Management in Albuquerque does not care about you. This is unfortunate because this can be a very great company. – less

Even though it was a temp to hire service, they were great to work for.
Driver (Former Employee), Fridley, MNSeptember 10, 2013
Pros: working with the awesome people in the minnesota office.
Cons: there is really no fun in being a temp.
The only bad thing about this place that I can say is that they were always looking out for me and the other drivers that worked for them. I was told once that I was one of the best drivers they have had in a long time because I was always ready and willing to work. Management was one of the reasons I loved working there. I do not have one bad thing – more... to say about them. I didnt really have any co workers because I basically worked by myself all the time. The only people I ever interacted with, besides the customer was the dispatcher that was located in Minnesota. She was a very nice person to work for. The most enjoyable part of the job was calling in my hours every day because they always seemed cheerful to talk to me. – less

Operations Manager (Former Employee), Salt Lake City, UTMarch 10, 2013
Pros: management experience
Cons: unable to shut down office for lunch break
My job was a salary job and typical work hours were from 7am to 5:30 pm. I learned how to handle and place drivers in a job they were qualified for, how to process back ground checks, how to manage the office by myself most of the day.

I like Pro Drivers a lot, but they make it hard to get on with a company on a permanent basis. They are like a temp service for truck drivers.

Cons: no benefits. make it difficult to get on with a company permanently. they are a temporary service.
