Progressive Life of North Texas is a private provider of residential services for individuals with intellectual disabilities is seeking to hire a qualified RN to provide services to our program. This position requires a highly organized, detail oriented individual who has the ability to multi-task.
Complete comprehensive nursing assessments for all individuals upon initial admission and annual thereafter
Development, implementation and oversight of nursing service plans
Complete or delegate nursing quarterly assessments
Development and oversight of healthcare training needs for individuals, LVN’s and direct care staff.
Provide clinical supervision and assess qualifications of LVN staff.
Participate in IDT’s related to nursing assessments and care plans.
Determine needed delegation to unlicensed personnel in relation to self-medication administration.
Provide after hour on-call services
Must be licensed RN in the state of Texas
Must be familiar with Board of Nursing regulations as well as Department of Aging and Disability Services regulations as it relates to nursing care for ICF and HCS residential services.
3 to 5 years experience working in a home health care, ICF and/or HCS group home setting.
A minimum of 3 years working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred.
Must have strong computer skills and ability to use the internet and various Microsoft office applications.
Some travel required.
Must be highly organized, detailed oriented, and demonstrate ability to multi-task.
Must work independently and use good judgment and discretion.
Must have a valid TX drivers license.
