About PROJECT CURE

PROJECT C.U.R.E. is the world's largest volume distributor of donated medical supplies and equipment to developing nations—delivering two to three 40-foot cargo containers a week. Since 1987, Denver-based PROJECT C.U.R.E. has delivered donated medical supplies and equipment to the most desperately ill and needy people living in more than 100 countries – more... around the world. In developing nations, thousands of children are born on the hospital floor, patients lay two and three in a single bed, surgeons have no suture and lab technicians have no gloves. The lack of healthcare infrastructure completely disrupts social and economic stability in nearly every developing country in the world. Each week, PROJECT C.U.R.E. collects thousands of pounds of medical supplies and equipment in large trucks from domestic medical manufacturers, distributors, hospitals and clinics. Volunteers sort, inventory and load the goods into huge semi-truck sized ocean-going cargo containers for delivery overseas. The recipients of the donated medical supplies include hospitals, and clinics in developing countries from Central Asia to South America, from Africa to the Far East, and from Eastern Europe to the Caribbean. This fiscal year, PROJECT C.U.R.E. will deliver 100 semi-truck sized containers of medical relief to those who need it most. "PROJECT C.U.R.E. is grateful to Wal-Mart for its service to our organization. Assisting in the transportation of medical supplies from our donors to our distribution facilities is critical to the success of our mission. We have been so pleased with the kindness and cooperation shown by Wal-Mart, and we look forward to working together in the future to deliver health and hope to those who need it most around the world," said Doug Jackson, President/CEO of PROJECT C.U.R.E. PROJECT C.U.R.E. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, international medical relief organization. Since 1987, PROJECT C.U.R.E. has delivered donated medical supplies and equipment to the most desperately ill and needy people living in more than 100 countries around the world. In the past five years, while operating on less than 2% overhead, PROJECT C.U.R.E. delivered over 340 containers of medical relief, impacting an estimated 6.2 million people who otherwise suffer from inadequate healthcare. PROJECT C.U.R.E.'s International Headquarters is located in Centennial, Colorado. – lessMore from ZoomInfo »
