Love working here
Rather Not Say (Current Employee) –  McLean, VASeptember 17, 2016
Some seriously smart and motivated people work at PPC in Cyber Security and Information Technology. Lots of work locations besides McLean, VA. They have offices in Richmond, VA, Annapolis, MD, Fort Collins, CO, and Albuquerque, NM. They had an office in California too but closed it down.

This is a small company, so you will wear many hats. You will not be another assembly line worker doing the same thing over and over again all day. A great place to learn and grow your career in tech.

Good work-life balance. All FT employees get healthcare and dental benefits, 401(k) retirement match, ten paid federal holidays, and generous paid time off based on tenure.

There are recognition bonuses ($$$) for employees worth thousands of dollars, monthly birthday parties, March Madness basketball games on a large TV screen with free pizza and soda, an Employee Breakfast Club, Town Hall meetings, and most of all, PPC has a small family-like atmosphere.
Pros
Great culture, strong for I.T. and Cyber Security, good benefits, growing pains
Cons
Rapid growth, running out of office space

I enjoyed meeting new faces and assisting the directors with admin work that included but not limited to catering and organizing meetings.

After several years of financial struggle, the firm was acquired by a private equity firm. Future unknown.
Director, Strategic Solutions Division (SSD) (Former Employee) –  McLean, VAAugust 19, 2013
Individuals and organizations who had business relations with PPC in the past probably won't recognize the organization. While several good individuals from the old days remain, much of the senior staff is new.

My recommendation for persons interviewing with PPC is to ask detailed questions about the business plan and service offerings. Look for concrete steps the management team has undertaken to implement a long term vision in both areas.
Pros
IT professionals who have not forgotten the human touch
Cons
Business has become driven by the bottom line

This was my first job out of college, I learned a lot about an office environment and was treated the same as those with more experience.

Good company. Currently in process of being sold.
Development Team Lead (Former Employee) –  McLean, VASeptember 18, 2012
PPC is a mid size company. Typical day at work is reflective of searching Govwin, updating Salesforce and visiting customers. The VP of business development is an exceptional person and the VP of GITSS is awesome. Hardest part of the job is the sales expectation of service sales with a product mentality.
Pros
great environment for working
Cons
consideration of sales targets unrealistic

Small firm allows everyone to feel like an important part of the bigger goal. Emphasis placed on work hard/play hard mentality. Employees were rewarded for successes and encouraged to push themselves to step up and take ownership of work.
