The Cambridge Institute specializes in providing strategic consulting and residential management services to schools in the US and around the globe. Our worldwide network has brought hundreds of young people from around the world to experience American education and build international connections.

We are seeking a Residential Manager who displays a high level of professionalism, ability to multi-task and attention to detail that will communicate with our international students, host families and with our oversea offices to support the coordination of residential student programs at schools around the US.


  • Manage comprehensive administrative tasks as assigned
  • Supervise residential programs
  • Ensure host recruitment targets are met
  • Provide cultural competency support to host families and students
  • Manage remote local coordinators
  • Be committed to customer service


  • BA or MA graduate required/MA/PhD preferred
  • Interest or experience in global business or education
  • Previous Residential life or residential management experience
  • Sales and recruitment experience
  • Committed to diversity in education
  • Previous experience working with teenagers
  • Strong communication skills, including telephone and email skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to work and communicate outside normal business hours
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work closely with managers and colleagues around the globe
  • Professionalism and punctuality, with the ability to work independently
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident


  • Remote employee management experience
  • ESL experience
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese
  • International travel experience
  • Previous experience with boarding style accommodations
  • Background in social work, mentoring, personal counseling and/or childcare
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred

Compensation: $17-20/hr depending upon education and experience. After a trial period of 3 months qualified employees will be offered salaried positions of $40-50k including a bonus structure and comprehensive benefit package.
