Working For Public Works/Engineering
Administrative Technician (Current Employee), 2405 Courthouse Drive, VA Bch, VA 23453 – September 30, 2012
Pros: learning and expanding
Cons: n/a
My typical day at Public Works would be entering employee leave and overtime into the Oracle database, handling personnel issues, putting new hire or discipline information into the Oracle database, supervising five (5) full time Administrative Assistants, occasionally answering telephones and helping citizens. Data entry of time cards for the Survey – more... division into MS Access database.

The most enjoyable part of my job is coming to work. I love the environment meaning management are easy to work for and everyone seems to all have a common goal. Being able to learn various things from the executives increases my knowledge everyday. – less

Productive, proffesional and a fun enviroment to from
Management Trainee (Current Employee), Pretoria CBD, Gauteng – November 15, 2012
Pros: you are allowed to take lunch-time any time of the day, but never miss-use that opportunity.
Cons: we are only allowed to work long hours when there's a need.
First thing I do when I get to my office, I open my diary to check what is expected of me on that particular, whereby I make follow-ups with relevent Project Manager from different Regions, then collect as much given information as I can.

I have learnt to be polite and always practice the "Batho Pele" principles, this helps to work productively and – more... living clients happy.
When it comes to management, my log-book and diary acts as my bibble where I should live by it since it contains more information regarding projects which falls whithin my responsibility line.

Co-workers come in different shapes and size, so I don't use the "one size fit all" approach when dealing with them, but always try to accommodate them as their all different.

The hardest part about my work is that I work long hours without noticing it and my boss will make jokes about me saying that I am the most paid guy becaues of my over-time benefits that I get almost evry month.

The most enjoyable part is when we sit in a meeting, braining-stormong about how to solve a particular problem, here it's a place where there is no wrong or right answer, but we are all there with one common goal, which is to come up with a solution. – less
