Productive and Resourceful place to work
Support Services Team Lead - All Services (Current Employee) –  Stamford, CTAugust 10, 2016
Normal days are usually busy days.
I've worked with this company for years so the culture is unique but it's good to switch up from time to time.
I've learned multiple different service lines (ie: Office Services, Guest Services, Reception, Mail, Reprographics, Meeting & Events, etc)
Like any company you'll have the good and the okay and the not so good employees. You have to learn how to adapt, do your job, and try to be team oriented.
The hardest part of the job is getting people accustomed to change.
The most enjoyable part of the job is knowing I'm providing exceptional and beyond level of service to the customer and their clients.
Pros
Free lunches at times, Free giveaways at times
Cons
Not being able to participate in the company events.

Easy to get lost in the size, but can be a very life-friendly place
Management Consulting Associate (Former Employee) –  Chicago, ILAugust 8, 2016
This is for the Advisory group specifically. PwC is a large firm (over 180k people), which means there can be a lot of disconnect. However, I will say that the firm does offer a lot of strong benefits, particularly 22 days of vacation after 2 years of employment. That's over 4 weeks! Combine that with the 10+ firm holidays/office closings and your looking at almost 1.5-2 months of PTO. That's A LOT.

Compensation can seem somewhat low, but the firm is also so large that one can easily hide in its size and get away (and get promoted) doing mediocre work/effort. Not necessarily a good thing, but also not a bad thing if you're looking for a life-friendly gig.

PwC is a good place to work. I have had the opportunity to learn a lot. I performed walk-throughs, gathered evidences, reviewed evidences, performed testing and followed up with Clients as necessary. I was able to work in very detail oriented manner and identify new testing attributes. Performed internal database mapping and managing internal relationship with the global teams.

Good learning opportunities and benefits. extremely political environment
Manager- Advisory (Former Employee) –  New York, NYJuly 29, 2016
A typical day at work can vary significantly. Projects are quite different from each other both in terms of content and team dynamics. Agility and adaptability are key skills required to do well.

The company is a good for recent graduates as it provides excellent learning opportunities. There are also a broad variety of projects that allows one to dabble in before deciding on a career path.

Forget about work-life balance. Every one is willing to go the extra mile, which has created a very hard-working culture. Late night and weekend working is quite common.

Also, the company is extremely political - it's a manager pleasing culture. Lots of manipulative people and territory grabbing at all levels, especially in mid-level and senior positions. Doing the right thing is not at all important. What matters is that you have pleased your managers and partners even when it is evident that what they are asking of you is ethically wrong or detrimental to the clients' requirements.
Pros
Good compensation and benefits, good learning opportunities
Cons
Favoritism, territory grabbing - absolutely no sense of team work;
