The Marketing Activities Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to increase Same Store Sales through LSM activities and programs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Promotes and supports the Quaker Steak & Lube® mission statement
  • Responsible for developing the overall marketing strategy for the restaurant with the assistance of the General Manager and the MACRO
  • Creates trimester sales and marketing plans, focusing on constant day part sales growth and the strategic planning of special events & promotions
  • Develops and assists in the production of advertising, marketing brochures, sales kits or other promotional materials
  • Communicates all promotions that are developed by the Quaker Steak & Lube® Support Center to the management and staff, with the ultimate goal of effective communication to our guests
  • Plans, coordinates and attends special events; performs and documents ROI analysis on events and promotions; updates the local “MAC Tool Box” with ideas and promotional event recaps
  • Securement and fulfillment of sponsors and vendors for special events and promotions
  • Studies and educates management and staff on branding identity and the content included in the Quaker Steak & Lube® Marketing Manual
  • Assists in the creation of specific, intensified plans for under-performing day parts and revenue centers
  • Reviews, negotiates and places media and print advertising with the approval and consultation of the General Manager and MACRO
  • Ensures consistent growth of the local store email marketing database; evaluates the platforms reporting measures and formulates a constant plan for effective messaging

  • Responsible for all local store social media platforms and the continuous growth and utilization of each
  • Participates and suggests agenda items for bi-weekly status and ideation calls with other Quaker Steak & Lube® MACs, facilitated by the respective MACRO of the region
  • Attends local store, weekly management meetings to inform the team of current and long-term marketing initiatives
  • Performs weekly sales calls to local businesses in an effort to grow revenues through relationship and contact building; weekly sales calls are also designed to promote upcoming events and promotions at The Lube®
  • Responsible for the growth of on and off-site catering and promotion of the local catering program
  • Coordinates and participates in local community business and networking events
  • Develops and maintains all community and business relationships with the appropriate council
  • Coordinates and develops monthly entertainment, events and specials calendars
  • Operational assistance – guest greeting and seating, food running and table touching at peak times are expected and encouraged
  • Marketing Managers need to have open availability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed and scheduled.
