Great start to gain experience, unprofessional managment
Front desk clerk (Former Employee) – Woodland, CA 95776 – February 1, 2018
Entering into the job, i felt an opportunity opening up to gain beneficial/crucial work experience. During my interview i was offered a job and the training would begin the following morning. My training was a total of 3 hours, on the spot training that did not even cover the basics of setting up shuttle transportation to help accommodate guests. The day after training i started my first 8 hour work shift alone, while the manager left to manage another hotel. Throughout my time working the front desk, i enjoyed interacting with the public and helping to make the guests stay more inviting. Although i started to pick up on how to carry out most job tasks, i found myself working without pay. I was told every two weeks we would be receiving our pay, however my money was being held until i turned in my two week notice.
