Marketing Manager, Minneapolis, MN - June 11, 2015
Outdated systems, absentee executives, minimal training, non-traditional business protocols. Co-workers were pleasant, yet most were not held accountable. I found a couple mentors that helped me learn various things, but most people kept their knowledge to themselves. There was a lack of synergy between departments, which makes it challenging to meet company goals. The hardest part of the job was getting answers from executives when their input was required, and / or getting involved in "urgent" projects when management was aware of it long before they sought assistance. The most enjoyable part of my position was the ability to work remotely, as I found I was more productive when not surrounded by the office chaos.
