Non-productive atmosphere
Laboratory Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Norcross, GAJuly 15, 2017
This place was the most non-productive and non-caring place in the world as far as employer relations with their employees. The job retention team has a great task before them.

Applicants Beware
Laboratory Technologist (Current Employee) –  Norcross, GAJune 13, 2015
I wouldn't recommend the job for anyone seeking work/life balance. It's short staffed and a breeding ground for disgruntled attitudes. Management is terrible and blame is constantly being tossed from one person to another. There is zero accountability for actions which creates a very stressful work environment for people who actually do their job well. The pay is great, but it's not worth the suffering.
Pros
The pay is great and overtime is always available.
Cons
Everything else.

Staff (Current Employee) –  Atlanta, GAMay 30, 2015
This organization has good intentions to be a great place to work. Although, the times of the years past - the beginning, 30+ years ago - have not caught up with the 21st century. Management cannot seem to let go of the past so they can grow.

Stay Away!
MT (Former Employee) –  AtlantaApril 7, 2015
The most terrible management I've ever encountered and no weekends off. The pay is good, but it's just not worth it. If it's a choice between hunger and homelessness or working at Qualtex, take the job. However, if you have the option to work anywhere else with decent pay, PLEASE DO SO.

Think twice before saying yes
Managment (Former Employee) –  San AntonioJanuary 20, 2015
I was able to hang in there at QualTex Laboratories for almost a year by the grace of God. The company lacks in a knowledgeable and experienced management team. The company is stuck in a rut of repeatedly making the same errors, stresses, and failures over and over due to lack of management, technology, and understanding. The turnover rate at both San Antonio and Atlanta is extremely high due to the poor work environments and overbearing demands on staff. As you can imagine the morale is extremely low, quality of work lacks, poor customer service and I question the validity of the company to maintain a decent standard of care for donor blood testing. The procedure manuals are outdated and what is present is usually wrong or confusing, so most staff make best guesses for processing samples. If you have high standards in patient care, quality of work, and enjoy working in a sound and stable environment then this company is not for you. It'll be a decision you will truly regret.
Pros
More overtime than you can handle or want
Cons
Rude, incompetent, inexperienced and lacking knowledge in their management teams.

If you can hang in there, there is room to grow...
Laboratory Technologist (Current Employee) –  Norcross, GAMay 19, 2014
Great opportunities for growth as a laboratory professional. Lots of room for improvement for management as well as other business functions. The company is still growing and with the right people can eventually be a good place to work.

Good Entry Level Jobt
Laboratory Technologist (Former Employee) –  San AntonioApril 19, 2014
Great place to get your feet wet. High demand in which section you work in. Poor salary compared to competitors and definitely not fair market value. If the company constantly has to perform salary compensation evaluations, that should foreshadow many aspects the company has.
Pros
Great place to get experience if entry level
Cons
About everything else other than experience

Microbiology Supervisor (Current Employee) –  San Antonio, TXOctober 22, 2012
QualTex is a great place to get your feet wet. There are growth opportunities and veteran employees/ management are always will to teach whatever one is willing to learn. Staff has learned to coss train in multiple departments, gaining more experience to move up within the company.
