What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable?
How does QualxServ stack up against the competition?

Everything you guys are talking about in here is 100% true. I was there for almost 10 years and it took me about 4 to realize what scum bags they were. I guess because forums like this didn't exist and I was learning so I put up with them.
Wayyyyyyy to much for me to type here but I will check back and answer any questions people may have about this disgustingly disturbing Dutch company.
The parent company, GeTronics, treats their people much better. Much much much better. I still have friends that work on the GeTronics side and they have it made.
Seriously, this is one disturbing group of people to work for. Completely clueless as to the realities of geography and can care less if you are dead or alive.
Toward the end I called HR and asked if they would consider providing us the opportunity to enroll in AFLAK and the lady just said No and hung up.........after almost 10 years of service and a spotless record with bonuses even from techs that called in from Dell and IBM to give me props.
Like I said....wayyyyyy to much I could type about these scumbags!!
Thank God for the creator of this forum. It was much needed!!
I know a TON about this company and the "people" in Tewksbury Mass if anyone needs details or info...
SCUMBAGS!!!!! RUN!!!!!!

I work part time at now World Wide Tech Services and getting harassed about not being available for a customer after I was finish for the day. The company has no way to pay me for the additional cost that occurs when you have to go back out after you have all ready start your day then finish. Now I find myself fighting for my job. Because even though I work part time, they expect me to be available for my customer from 9am-5pm and when I tell them that’s full time available and that should quantify me for full time benefits. They say you would not have worked full time. But if I have to be by the phone or just stopping my life for that time period so just in case my customer might call me back and want services today. Shouldn’t I disserve to, if not get paid at least get benefits from stopping my life.
What do you think? I have now not received any new work for 4 days because I push this issue.

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at QualxServ?
Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?
What is a typical day in the life of an employee at QualxServ?

Who ever said Dell pays $135.00 per service event to replace a component in a desktop or laptop system is nuts. They have never paid that much out. It is actually in the low $50 dollar range. How much do you expect to get paid to take out a few screws replace a piece of hardware and close it back up. You may have to run the Dell Diags but thats as far as you go. of course you you need to put it back together which is a challenge for some who are to stupid and end up putting screws through palm rests, cracking plastics, breaking LCD's, etc... who make all the other employees suffer from there irresponsibility. I have been with Qualxserv for sometime now and they are fare. Territories change for different reasons we are not aware of but its part of the job. I have received bonuses etc for jobs well done and have nothing to complain about. looks like the people on here are complaining about having to work.

Do you work at QualxServ? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview?
Any advice for someone trying to get in?

Hello,
From one of the previous posts regarding qualxserv, one of the former employee of qualxserv stated that you can reimburse your millage despite what qualxserv may say. The following was his reply:
"They say you cannot claim you mileage. That may be true, but for the last couple months before I was canned, I did do it and I did get reimbursed, TAX FREE. You would do what is called a Mileage Expense Report. Everything you need will be there, just follow the instructions."
can this be done?
any replies would be much appreciated. thanks

I was a QXS employee for 10 months. Saw an ad on craigslist, and had heard of the company before, some good, some bad, from multiple sources, customers and technicians alike. However, I did not know how deep the rabbit hole went.
The ad said Full-Time, hence my quick response to the ad, and so the recruiter called me back, did a phone interview, then, as long as I could pass the pre-employment deal (drug screen, proof of registration, insurance, certifications, etc.) in 10 days, I was good to go. And the deal sounded alright, not super, but decent. 15.00 an hour salaried, no matter how many calls I closed, and mileage over the first 35 miles. Also a bonus after 90 days (600 taxed) and after a year (1000 taxed). Obviously I never made it to my year bonus. :) No benefits, but still a decent deal. And with myself living in a pretty populated region, figured I'd be driving no more than 10 miles to a call. Oh how I was wrong.
They were going to start dishing calls out to me right away, because they were way behind. My first 2 weeks of calls were all long distance 50+ miles round trip, on average, and closed 28 calls in my first two weeks. As I complained about how I was being run ragged, they hired another guy, with the same deal as myself, and they told me that the two of us should be able to handle the territory, which was never clearly explained, even after multiple attempts.
At about 4 months things seemed to calm down, I was averaging around 15 closed calls a week, and things were pretty steady. It was about this time that I find out that QXS is hiring again, this time for per-call guys. They got two of them, and they start running calls. My calls start dwindling, along with the other technician. Him and I bumped into each other at the parts drop, and exchanged numbers, this was a big problem for QXS, because we could communicate.
