Quantum Foods doesn't need physics to portion out its products. The company, founded in 1990, processes beef into individual steaks that are then sold to customers in the foodservice industry, such as restaurant chains, airlines, and the US military, as well as to retail outlets including supermarkets, general merchandisers, and convenience stores. Its products include ribeye, T-bone, skirt, strip, tenderloin, and porterhouse steaks. The company also provides fully cooked chicken-breast entrees. Its brands include Quantum Steakhouse (beef) and Simply Gourmet (chicken).
The company also makes private-label products for restaurants and deli operations. For its foodservice customers, in addition to beef, poultry, and pork products, it offers custom menu solutions, as well as culinary and marketing services.
Quantum Foods operates two production facilities, which together have the capacity to process some five million pounds of product per week.
