The pace of work is consistent and somewhat predictable. All law firms tend to have a stressful, deadline-driven atmosphere and this one is no different. The worst aspect of this firm, as compared to others I've worked with is that they opt to hire temps over perm employees for many positions to keep employee-attorney ratios lower that their competitors. This causes high turn-over of support staff, and the pain of re-training staff for the same positions over and over. I saw this delay daily work and projects. It also causes low loyalty of staff to the work and firm. There are also many levels of management which seem to inhibit progress within departments.
