Working at Quick chek was exhausting. I woke up every morning at 4am to be into work at 5am(store opening hours).
I was the coffee manager so I learned a lot about coffee and I learned a lot about how to clean to a very high standard.
As a manager, I did not delegate work to other people, I just managed the coffee department myself. It was my duties to make sure that everything was cleaned and sanitized to FDA regulations, take inventory of all coffee and other beverages, and also place the order for anything that was needed.
The majority of my co-workers were part time college students and the others were middle aged women.
The hardest part of this job was making sure that everything was cleaned and sanitized on top of making sure that all of my customers were completely satisfied. Although multitasking was difficult, it wasn't terrible.
The most enjoyable part of my job was being able to see the same people everyday and motivate them with my delicious coffee. I bonded with a lot of my customers while I was there. They appreciate a happy, smiling face in the morning.
