The Quincy Park District is offering a Kindergarten Prep program in conjunction with the All Our Kids Network.
The program will introduce children to academic and social experiences through kindergarten preparation activities. Students will explore counting, letter recognition, writing, music, small and large motor skill development, story time and enjoy crafts and games.
This program is for children who have not previously attended a preschool or pre-kindergarten program and who are starting kindergarten in the fall of 2013. The Early Childhood Center and the Quincy Park District will provide a curriculum for appropriate ages and skill levels.
"This program is an excellent opportunity for families whose child has been unable to attend preschool," Julie Schuckman, Early Childhood Center Director. "It's a great way to learn and practice the skills needed for kindergarten."
Children ages 4 to 5 years old may participate in the program, which will be held from 9-11 a.m., Fridays, March 1 to May 3, in the Activity Center at Emerson Community Center, 1310 Washington. Children must toilet trained. – less–ZoomInfo
