great health care benefits
Returns Processor (Former Employee), West Chester, PA – May 11, 2013
Basically it's a comfortable Company to work for, but unfortunately all the talented and good people end up leaving because of the arrogance of leadership, poor treatment, difficult to move up, annual reviews and tiny increments are an insult. Supervisors run around like kids laughing and playing instead of working and lots of discriminations going – more... on. – less

Productive place to work...
WLRS Clerk/Distribution Administration (Current Employee), Rocky Mount, NC – May 6, 2013
A typical day at work for me includes having reports ready every morning Monday-Friday by 7:15 am. I then assist supervisors in anything else they need done for their workday. The most enjoyable part of the job is being able to learn something new.

busy fast paced workplace
Shipper/Receiver (Former Employee), Suffolk, VA – April 24, 2013
Pros: qvc store with discounts, healthcare
Cons: warehouse temperature
A typical day was unloading trucks as accurately and timely as possible. I learned how to drive lots of machinery and equipment. The management was fair and helpful and my coworkers were dedicated and nice. The hardest part was the climate during the summer and winter months. The most enjoyable part was the relationships and the readiness from the company – more... to help you advance. – less

A great place to work
Systems Analyst (Former Employee), Exton, PA – April 15, 2013
Pros: numerous perks that made the work place an exciting place.
Cons: lack of professional management
I supported Tax and Finance initially as a developer and later as a Project Manager and Business Analyst. It was a wonderful opportunity to develop a skill set that enabled to move on to more exciting opportunities.
I learned that the most important part of the job was having good people skills.

The values and culture of Qvc is really amazing.
Security Assistant (Current Employee), Rocky Mount, NC – March 28, 2013
Pros: great incentive programs, good pay, great culture
Cons: close mindedness, co-workers inability to welcome change
A typical day at work for me could consist of many things. For example if i'm assigned to the Truck Gate, i'm responsible for processing truck drivers who enter and exit the warehouse. I have to keep detailed records of in/out times, as well as trailer information. I then input this information into the Yard Management System where the Transportation – more... team handles things further.

I've learned many things while working for QVC. I am not their new STATS recorder, which means I keep log of all warehouse information such as, Tractor/Truck logs, Badge logs, etc. All this information is used at the beginning of every month when the Admin team release's the updated billboard for the warehouse.

I think the management at my job is superb. I feel that my supervisors really do strive to keep a nice respectful and diverse environment. Their all about helping you excel and succeed if that's what you want to do.

I think I can tie this into two when I say the hardest part of my job are my co-workers. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy working with them and helping out as a team. The main issue for me is that I am the youngest person in my department, everyone else either has had Law Enforcement training or some type of prior military service, I have none of these. Even though I work full time and have the same pay rate, many of them put up their noses to the fact that I have a little bit more responsibility then they do. I hear complaints about how it's not fair that they've been working here x amount of years but never got the opportunities given to me. At first I feel as if they were constantly picking on me, but not I realize that it's just a way of life out here. I live in a small agricultural town, and their not used to a young girl from California coming way out here and excelling. That's all i strive to do at any of my jobs. I just want to be as efficient and an overall great employee.

I will say that above everything, I just enjoy being able to interact with all the warehouse employees as they enter and exit the building. I enjoy being able to learn new things about the company, and getting involved in all they have to offer. My personality was made to interact with people so I look forward to any job allowing me to do that. – less

Productive place to work
Distribution Specialist (Former Employee), Rocky Mount, NC – March 25, 2013
Pros: flexible work hours, set my own schedule
Cons: if hours weren't available there was no work
Working at QVC was an experience. I learned how to properly package items that were ordered by consumers from a pack recipe. I also learned that placing like items together when packing makes the packing process much easier and faster.

Quality Engineer/Supervisor (Former Employee), West Chester, PA – March 19, 2013
Pros: always looking for ways to improve customers experience
Cons: was not always happy with the quality level of some products
Going to work was something that I looked forward to because, the environment was always pleasant, although there was always pressure to maintain a 95% turnaround, in a 5-day cycle time. And… it was my responsibility to make that happen for my team. Scheduling the work flow was the way I managed my team of direct reports. Management was forever changing, – more... so there was always adjustments to be made because of different management styles and techniques. My co-workers were a tight team, who always worked together to ensure we met the required goals. The hardest part of my job was dealing with outside vendors, who tried repeatedly to circumvent the system. Most enjoyable part of my job was meeting the demands of the department and the Quality Assurance organization. – less

Great place to work.
Distribution Specialist (Former Employee), Rocky Mount, NC – March 12, 2013
Pros: great group of co-workers
Cons: walking distance to work stations
A typical day involved a lot of flexibility due to the demands required from the televised network sales. I learned to work with a diverse group of young and older workers to get the job completed. Management could have been more organized and on top of what was needed. My co-workers were a great group to work with and meet. The hardest part of the – more... job was the standing but the most enjoyable part was accomplishing your goals for the day/week. – less

Don't care about employees
Packaging and Filling Machine Operator and Tender (Former Employee), West Chester, PA – February 28, 2013
Pros: great benefits
They don't care about their employees what so ever. The majority of supervisors need serious training in professionalism and how to speak to their employees.

No "Work/ Life Balance" whatsoever
Designer (Former Employee), West Chester, PA – February 28, 2013
Pros: good healthcare benefits
Cons: poor departmental managers; no work/life balance
QVC tries to be a good place to work in terms of the overall company values, pay and benefits. However (!), they will work you to the bone. My experience there was a very negative one- I left each day feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. I also was forced to take work home many nights and weekends just to try to keep up. Their idea of employee recognition – more... is "you're tough- I know you can do it". Translation being- keep working because nothing's going to change. Nothing did change, in fact, they just added more work. I don't recommend this company. They don't practice what they preach- and they do a whole lot of preaching about 'work/ life balance' and company values. I regret working at QVC. – less

Inbound/Outbound Customer Service (Current Employee), Port Saint Lucie, FL – February 28, 2013
Pros: time off without pay, personal time, cafeteria, dress code, benefits
QVC is relaxed and has its challenges. I work in customer service. In customer service you deal with happy customers and not so happy customers. You are challenged with different personalities. Each day I learn something new about a product we sell. My co-workers are nice and easy going.
