Shipper (Former Employee) – West Chester, PA – October 15, 2016
I either for QVC for almost 20 years and my time there was fun at the beginning. Things change over time. I enjoyed working there and we grew as a family. So when it came time to leave (getting laid offer), it was hard. If distribution wasn't relocated to South Carolina I would still be there. People are friendly and sometime you even get to meet hosts of the show or even be asked to be a part of the show. Every five years you receive a placque and a gift card for shipping at the Q.
Job is not secure, company always making global decisions.
Risk Supervisor (Current Employee) – West Chester, PA – March 26, 2016
I worked at PIT as an Instructor for about 6 years both at the Media campus and in Center City. The people and students are great and loved working there! The only issue is classes being cancelled to to low enrollment.
Email/ Chat Representative (Current Employee) – San Antonio, TX – March 22, 2016
QVC is a one of kind company the work/life balance is phenomenal. Managers have open door policy. Supervisors are always well informed. System needs updating to chrome. Transitioning from order services to Customer service is good. The training is very outdated and bland needs revamped.
Risk Specialist (Current Employee) – West Chester, PA – March 21, 2016
Having worked at QVC for more than 15 years, I would not be searching for another job at this time, but for the fact that our department has been advised that our jobs will be relocating to Poland in a Global Business move. I have enjoyed my time at this job for the most part, the day to day work is very interesting and varied. Management and co-workers are helpful and friendly. I have made many life long friends at my time at QVC and know I can depend on them in the future. Hardest part of the job is having to deal with productivity concerns from management on a daily basis, most enjoyable part of the job is determining "fraudsters" and the research involved.
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) – Chesapeake, VA – March 16, 2016
It was very productive, and providing different service to our customers to make there day better and easier. We always have meetings about what is trending, and what are some new things we can do as a company to grow. we all play as a team the "Q", to make sure we keep afloat.
Talent Resource Manager (Former Employee) – West Chester, PA – March 14, 2016
My job was eliminated or I would still be there. I loved working there. Over 23 years I had the opportunity to work with some of the most talented individuals. I was able to travel across the United States and mingle with some of our best customers. Trade Shows, Live Remotes, Scout properties were all parts of my job.
Live Chat Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) – Port Saint Lucie, FL – February 26, 2016
I loved being part of the New York Palace team. I worked with a wonderful group of people there who all worked very hard to provide world class customer service to the guests of the hotel. Also one of the best hotels to work for. Beautifully appointed rooms, excellent service offered and great team work amongst coworkers. Excellent experience.
Outbound Supervisor Automation (Current Employee) – Suffolk, VA – February 16, 2016
My typical day is meeting with my coounter parts from 1st shift review outstanding aged orders. I gather my daily paperwork partner with other supervisor in outbound if help is needed in Automation. Review daily model to determine how many units that Automation needs to complete that day. Then meet with staff and have a start up meeting reviewing Corp and site information and answer questions. I have learned a lot of WMS system and both inbound and outbound departments. My shift manger will meet each day at 8pm to review day progress. I work closely with my peers on my shift from shipping superviosr to picking supervisor. The hardest part of my job is having enought time to get all admin items done. The most enjoyable part of my job is the employees they have been on site a=on average more then 15 years and they know what to do whcih my job easier.
I enjoyed doing cancels and working with my co-workers. I learned the different process of how to do cancels and why the customer cancel their order. Management was the bomb back in 2010 they were more considerate of the workers and how they felt about different changes. my co-workers was enjoyable to work with if anyone needed help there wasn't a problem it was team work. There wasn't anything hard about the job I enjoyed the challenge of learning different things. Working together as a team was enjoyable.
luncheon for employee as an appreciation
Health care was excellent adequate amount of time for breaks
Returns Processor (Former Employee) – Lancaster, PA – February 9, 2016
I enjoyed working for QVC and working with the employees that i did. The only issue i had was the cleaniness of the work environment. I have asthma and it was poor working conditions for people like myself. Poor breathing conditions. I liked the job it's self and learning morre computer skills.
OE/CS (Former Employee) – Port Saint Lucie, FL – February 7, 2016
I loved working for QVC! I think any job is what you make of it. It can be a good or bad experience. It's all attitude! Sitting for long periods of time and taking hundreds of calls can be monotonous, but I would make a game of it to see if I could take more calls than the day before and trying to lower my AHT without rushing people off the phones. Also, it was good to get up and stretch. I treated customers the way I wanted to be treated and mostly they were nice back. I enjoyed getting out and meeting people. The employee store and the employee discount is great...a little too great. I don't think I made money at QVC when I worked there! I miss it, but we moved from Port Saint Lucie to South Florida and it was too far. But I now live in San Antonio and they have a call center here... :)
Switchboard Operator/Receptionist (Former Employee) – West Chester, PA – February 5, 2016
A typical day, come in about 15 minutes early so i can set up for work, turn on phone, computer. Days starts at 10:00am phone rings all day until 3:00pm when my day ends.
I met alot of nice people along the way over the phone. Made several new friends also over the phone. I enjoyed my co-workers most of the time. I wasnt too pleased with management. They didnt care who answered the phones as long as there was a warm body in those seats. We never recieved any respect from upper management.
I learned how to be patient with customers over the phone, to listen and not to interrupt while they speak.
