From requirements, specify and design mechanical parts and test fixtures for electro-mechanical products. Utilize 3D CAD tools to design and specify part dimensions and interfaces. Participate in design reviews, and ensure parts meet tolerance requirements and can be manufactured in high volume. Provide project documentation keep to schedules and budgets. Seek cost-reduced improvements of existing mechanisms and wiring schemes. Utilize MS Office products for normal business needs. Prototype, test, and document performance capabilities of cables, board-mounted connectors, ferrite holder parts and other cable-harness hardware.
CAD proficiency in Solid Works, Pro-E.
Regular performance of reading, writing and computer functions.
Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel)
10 years of experience in related work
Understands tolerance stacks and how they affect your designs
Experience with molded plastic part design and sheet-metal design are a plus
Maintain eligibility to legally work in the United States.
BS, MS, or equivalent work experience in Mechanical Engineering.
EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES:
Professional communication in the English language both oral and written-- in person and via email/ telephone—is required.
