POSITION TITLE: Field Supervisor
REPORTS TO: VP of Construction Management
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the supervision, organization, planning and scheduling of the physical execution of the work and management of the field forces for multiple interior construction projects.
The Field Supervisor directs the work of all subcontractors including the coordination of schedules, performance evaluation and assessment of projects progress and its ability to achieve milestone dates. In addition, they are responsible for maintaining professional and productive relationships with the subcontractors and field personnel, executives, as well as the Owner and the Architect.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
1. Compliance with all field Standard Operating Procedures
2. Preparation of all field generated paperwork
3. Jobsite Inspections for Safety and Maintenance
4. Subcontractor relations
5. Completion of all projects within budget and time constraints
6. Quality of completed construction
7. Preparation of Daily Reports and time sheets
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
The preferable candidate is a person with at least 4 years field experience in the management of subcontractors for commercial construction.
In addition to the candidates knowledge of construction, the skills and personal traits necessary to be considered for this opportunity are responsibility, accuracy and dependability. This person must be dynamic, energetic, industrious and diligent with an attention for detail.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with architects, engineers, designers and clients
Must have working technical knowledge of all trades and building systems.
Experience with NYC commercial construction
Proven ability in scheduling, sub-contractor relations, and quality control
Ability to interpret blue prints and shop drawings
Strong knowledge of all construction trades
Experienced in maintaining daily logs, preparing agenda items and reports for weekly meetings
Identifying and creating RFIs and preparing and monitoring schedules
Computer proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
