Customer Service Associate (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLJanuary 22, 2018
Typical day at work is fast paced, multiple tasks to accomplish, stocking, inventory, pricing, etc. Management is usually outsourced which seemed to cause riffs between employees. Hardest part of the job is difficult customers and the most enjoyable part is the compensation.

I had a wonderful crew and manager "Royce"to lead me
Associate (Former Employee) –  Canton, GAJanuary 22, 2018
The culture changed to a great workplace, the company stepped up when Allison took over. They took into account what we were facing as employees. The ins. benefits went up as I still am in close contact with some of the old and new employees. It's still my favorite Southern Gas station. The food and the fun service is always great.

This job requires a lot of movement, heavy lifting and multitasking. You have to handle customer payments while restocking food and beverages; sell logo tickets, alcohol and cigarettes.

Everyone has to experience Racetrac for themselves but I had a good experience. It's based on your work ethic and what you take from it but I would recommend Racetrac to anyone whom is trying to grow within the business.

Recruitment and Engagement Specialist (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLJanuary 15, 2018
Great pay. Benefits are wonderful. You work long hours though. Turnover rate is insane. They need more employees per store to help avoid chaos when someone quits

Just another job in the end
3rd Shift Manager (Current Employee) –  Fort Worth, TXJanuary 12, 2018
Its just another gas station workplace with slightly different rules then the rest. Unreliable crew, unsatisfactory hours, etc. Upper management and Corporate has a huge underlying drama/ personal agenda. For example a coworker of mine received a write up and then later transfer to another store for admitting (in a casual conversation) she was bi. Word got to corporate (operations supervisor) who issued said write up and transfer. Discriminatory, attending to personal agenda, unacceptable. If you need a paycheck and keep to yourself a person could possibly accept working here, but if you are looking to move up in the company good luck.

I did not have a pleasant experience with the company but that does not mean that someone else would have the same. I do not feel comfortable writing a review of a place that I did not enjoy and have it deter someone else that actively seeking employment

Great place to get experience
Swing Manager (Former Employee) –  Smyrna, GAJanuary 12, 2018
Racetrac's rapid growth give immediate entry level people a chance to work and get retail experience. The issue with Racetrac is once you are put in a store it was very difficult to get out of that situation and advance to a corporate or regional role.

I can only speak for the overnight shift. It was really laid back, the manager I had was cool, we got along pretty well. Overnight mostly consist of cleaning but it’s nothing you can’t handle. I liked it, and i’ll work there again.
