Working at RadioShack

  • Any advice? – 0 replies

So to make a long story short. I work at a Radioshack in Massachusetts as a Store Manager and I'm worked to the bone. I don't get paid a lot. I barely get to see my wife, and due to the hours I barely have time to search for a new job. I was wondering if there are people out there that may have suggestions in terms of where I could go next or maybe what they did when they left Radioshack. Any help would be grateful. I'm 25 and I have way to many bills to pay to just up and leave. Someone SAVE ME! Please and thank you.

What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at RadioShack? What do you like best about working at RadioShack? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees?

Do you work at RadioShack? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview? Any advice for someone trying to get in?

A complete waste of my time. They advertise they are hiring for Full time employees. Make me stress out because I haven't been on a job interview in years. Makes me wait 30 minutes longer than the time he told me to be there. Then interviews me for a whopping 5 minutes and tells me he needs a part time person, for like 10-20 hours a week. I have 2 small children. What is 10-20 hours a week going to do me? Don't say you are hiring full time people if you aren't. Its a waste of both mine and your time. Thanks a lot.

What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable? How does RadioShack stack up against the competition?

It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at RadioShack? Any advice on striking the right note?

Its a waste of time, Radio shack is not what they advertise, Ther is no management program, just start out as sales person minimum wages and payed for performnace, you don't sale, no money, and also no loyalty. Don't waste you time or effort.

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at RadioShack? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers? What is a typical day in the life of an employee at RadioShack?

Postings are listed for La Grande but we no longer have a Radio Shack store in our town!
