Great place fast paced and great clientele
Busser/Room-Service (Former Employee), Sacramento, CA –
Pros: love the free lunches which is always a plus, many opportunities to cross train for advancement.
A typical day is making sure all work stations are stocked and ready for the days work and team meetings before the rush.

I've learned a lot about how the restaurant and hotel operation in dealing with hotel guess. The management I can't complain because in my eyes it was ran well and keeping the the public image and professionalism and hospitality.

My – more...  co-worker were the best teams one could ever work with. It was a great relationship in team work as to no job was too big to handle, due to the team work. Well as far as the hardest part was having to leave and move on. But would gladly come back when the opportunity comes available.

The most enjoyable part about the job, is the people I meet, our guess we severed in the hospitality industry, and the clientele, and the special events we held, such as concerts, conferences, and the Jazz festivals and giving an experience for our guest and showing that we want them to remember the good experience there and hope for their return again. So again, it's all about the great team work and showing our best. – less

Poor In General
Kitchen Steward (Former Employee), Tucson, AZ –
Pros: bell service
Cons: everything else there
There is way to much back biting among employee's, to many rule change's to where no one know's how to respond without being on pin's and needle's. Take's to long for needed repair's to take place, thus creating a poor working enviroment. It went from excellent in rating's to very poor in 4 year's. Way to many guest complaint's have occurred in the – more...  past 2 year's as well. I would give anyone advice to go to another hotel where they are not cheap skates where there guest's are concerned, and the employee moral is top of the line because they are truly valued. I was sad to see the deterioration of the quality of service and treatment there in a short time. I had to leave because it saddened me alot. – less

Room Attendant/ Atrium Attendant (Current Employee), Kalamazoo, MI –
Pros: great people, free lunchs, employee incentives, great room discount.
Cons: erratic upper management, major hotel improvements.
Since starting as a room attendant in September 2011 I have grown into an integral part of not only the housekeeping department but the hotel in general.
I am looking to relocate to be closer to my fiancee in Muskegon.

Unneeded job.
Pool Assistant (Former Employee), Mount Laurel, NJ –
My job was too check the PH Level every hour and make sure people knew it was a swim at your own risk pool. Unneeded position, could easily be merged with another job.

The company does not promote within as stated when you are hired. They have an imagne to protect and only want "certain" type of people in management.

Made great friends but as the years rolled on, working environment ceased to be fun anymore
Administrative (Former Employee), New Rochelle, NY –
Liked the people I worked with. Did not like the favoritism of certain employees. Did not like politics of office. Things were okay in the beginning but as management changed hands, it was not a pleasant working environment. Worked hard for many years and put up with a lot of changes. Was a loyal employee but I guess that was not good enough.
