Alright place to work
Rehabilitation Assistant (Current Employee) –  Farmington Hills, MIMay 17, 2016
The management is not very good. I dislike the hours I work and working every single weekend. They don't accommodate my school schedule. There is a lot of favoritism among management and employees. I do love my job other than those few things. I enjoy helping people.
Pros
Free Dinner, helping others in need
Cons
No breaks

Legal Lawsuit waiting to happen
Rehabilitation Assistant (Current Employee) –  Farmington HillsMarch 31, 2016
We administer medications. Someone could easily steal them. We are unlicensed to do so.

If you have any family or friends say goodbye. Very hard to get time off even if there is a valid reason. Can get written up for being with your child in the hospital.

Management gets paid less than full time hourly employees.

Things need to be updated.

Clients sit around and watch TV all day.

How can clients get better if they eat junk food all the time?

I see other staff use grocery money for themselves and never get reprimanded.

Midnight staff always sleep so never pick that shift. The clients know too. Hence why they run away.
Pros
free lunch
Cons
bad management

Can be a fun workplace if staff works together
Rehabilitation Assistant (Current Employee) –  Livonia, MIFebruary 16, 2016
Depending on where you work, you work with a team. The job is not difficult as long as you're able to read, count, and write. If each employee pulls their own weight, the shifts go by relatively quickly.
Pros
opportunities for advancement, overtime
Cons
open 24/7/365, shoveling snow

Team Leader (Current Employee) –  Livonia, MIJanuary 8, 2015
Management turnover very high! Company changes over the years not for the best! No room for advancement unless you want to be stressed to no end!

Physical Therapist (Former Employee) –  Ypsilanti, MIJune 30, 2014
If you like neuro, community reintegration, originality, and following your patients over the course of their recovery for more than the standard "20 visits" like so many payor sources allow, then this is the place for you. I had a blast here.

Good for entry level health care work
Team Leader (Current Employee) –  Ypsilanti, MIMarch 28, 2014
The pay for direct care staff is better than most residential facilities with this population. However, you must have a large amount of patience to work here. Not everyone can make it in this field. Not much room for advancement.

Assistant RPM & Day Shift Team Lead (Current Employee) –  Ypsilanti, MIJanuary 16, 2014
typical work day includes passing medications, attending therapies and appointments. You may also help clients with daily life functions.

You learn many things that can be applied to a future child care, clerical, management and medical careers.

everyone is helpful and friendly

Hardest part is creating a personal space, its hard because you become so close with the clients you forget that they aren't your friends and family and you must not overshare person facts about yourself.
Pros
free food, caring professional staff
Cons
its a in home style medical job so there are no breaks

Pediatric Rehabilitation Assistant (Former Employee) –  Livonia, MIJanuary 2, 2013
Not a very great company to work for. Did not like the schedule and they had you work like dogs for the little amount that they paid you for the amount of work that you had to have done!
