Tow Truck Operator, Vista, CA - January 7, 2014
A typical day is patrolling for 12 hrs looking for vehicles in parking violations on company contracted properties, and meeting with those apartment managers and HOA representatives, and responding to law enforcement calls within the contracted time. I became very proficient at maintaining a business relationship with many different companies. The management at Rancho del Oro is top notch. They have all been in the towing business for 15 years plus, and aren't afraid to get out in the trucks and get their hands dirty. Co-workers were all very easy to get a long with. We would have our occasional confrontations, but at the end of the day we were still all good friends. The hardest part of the job would have to be the hours. Every driver works 50- 60 hours a week standard, and sometimes up to 72 hours. The most enjoyable thing about the job was working with good men and women, and knowing everyday would bring about something different.
