Bookkeeper (Current Employee), Austin, TXAugust 30, 2014
Randalls is a dying brand here in Texas, and it shows when you get behind the scenes. That being said, the people there are generally fun to work with.

Cashier (Former Employee), Pearland, TXAugust 27, 2014
Pros: friendly environment, good benifis
Cons: fairness, hours
I had really bad hours, they would always switch one week id have 13 then next 21, I needed more hours period. Management was unfair, I had great co-workers for the most part, and I loved interacting with the customers.

Productive and Dependable place of work
Deli Clerk (Current Employee), Galveston, TxJanuary 30, 2014
A typical day of work is usually busy and fun at the same time. It has a great environment to be in between the customers and the employees you work with. Management is easy to get a long with and they are very flexible with you on your schedule if need be. The hardest part of the job is not getting frustrated when you are too busy to be the amount – more... of productive you want to be. The most enjoyable part of the job is the customers. Your regulars and even the ones who aren't is what makes the job interesting. There is never a dull moment. – less

Cashier (Former Employee), Austin, TXJanuary 9, 2014
Pros: money
Cons: daily chore
Not a bad place to work, you'd be better off at an HEB unless you like customers who feel entitled because the company you're working for charges them more.

Fast paced grocery store with poor management
Cashier (Current Employee), Houston, TXSeptember 29, 2013
Pros: employee discounts of 20% off of store items
Cons: short breaks, management
Everyday has a lot of customers coming in and out of the store finding what they need and it would normally die down in the evening.
I learned that different people need different things and how I am able to make an impact on their life just by asking how their day is going and having a conversation with the customer.
My Co-workers are fun, energetic, – more... intelligent, and willing.
The Hardest part of my job would be not interacting with a customer. It's difficult not to talk to someone and find out what they need or how their day is going.
The Most enjoyable part of my job would be seeing the customer leave with a smile on their face because that lets me know that I did a good job at supplying them with their needs and satisfied them with my service. – less

Productive workplace, and you meet a lot of different cultures
Cashier/Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Houston, TxSeptember 27, 2013
Pros: hour lunches
Cons: short breaks
A typical day at work is busy in the mornings, slow during afternoon day, and very busy after work hours. I learned the pricing, and facing in the different departments. I learned the code of every vegetable, and some new items. I learned somewhat of management, keeping the customers satisfied, money management, bill payment, money orders, money grams, – more... etc. My co-workers were just that, co-workers, the hardest part of the job was to climb the corporate ladder. The most enjoyable time was when we had like festival time, and cookouts. – less

In Store Recruiter (Current Employee), Cedar Park, TXJuly 28, 2013
Pros: gifts for employee of the month, free lunches, going on outings with your workers
A typical day at work busy and never quiet. I have learned a lot from working at all my jobs things change but so bad that it is hard. Management at my jobs always took care of me they never down me always said I was doing a ggod job. The co-workers I worked with all became my friends and always came to me for advice. I never encounter nothing at work – more... that was to hard for me I tried my best in everything I do. The most important part of my job is making sure everyone was satisfied. – less

Cashier (Former Employee), Kingwood, TXApril 30, 2013
Pros: seeing new faces everyday
Cons: having to deal with difficult customers
A typical day at work as a cashier would be just to make sure that your customer that you are checking out is satisfied with how you are doing things and wants to come back to taht same store. You always want your customers to feel like they are special to the store. I learned how to check out a customer fast but also correctly, I also learned alot – more... of veggtable and fruit codes as well. The hardest oart of the job was between 4 and 6 P.M., which was rushour for the store. The most enjoyable part of my day was to see a new customers face everyday and knowing that they were satisfied with how I was doing my job. – less

Pros: will work with you on work life balance
Cons: no job security
A typical day at this company was different everyday, so if you enjoy a fast yet challenge day it can work for you. On the flip side of that for someone who like consistence, structure, and order it will seem to be very disorganize. I learn at this company on the importance of covering your back as it appears that every man was for themselves which – more... lack team work. The most enjoyable part of the job was working with the customers. – less
