Every time id go to work it would be a new different experience working and meeting new people ,id always be prepared to walk in with an open mind and a smile. The more friendlier and comprehensive I would – more... be would lead me to getting to know great people whom I got close with even every day regularly customers appreciate the fact were taking time to keep good vibes in the work environment. Managers were mostly understanding and fair to the employees ,and tried to give adequate training as I learned its very important to know to be independent. – less

Pros: work very well around my school shedule
Cons: some of the workers there are still high school and dont show or call, people who have been with the company many years.
Managers are there to help us any trouble and they do listen to our problems. They speak to us equally and do not over use their power of management.

Randalls is a dying brand here in Texas, and it shows when you get behind the scenes. That being said, the people there are generally fun to work with.

Productive and Dependable place of work
Deli Clerk (Current Employee), Galveston, TxJanuary 30, 2014
A typical day of work is usually busy and fun at the same time. It has a great environment to be in between the customers and the employees you work with. Management is easy to get a long with and they – more... are very flexible with you on your schedule if need be. The hardest part of the job is not getting frustrated when you are too busy to be the amount of productive you want to be. The most enjoyable part of the job is the customers. Your regulars and even the ones who aren't is what makes the job interesting. There is never a dull moment. – less

Cashier (Former Employee), Austin, TXJanuary 9, 2014
Pros: money
Cons: daily chore
Not a bad place to work, you'd be better off at an HEB unless you like customers who feel entitled because the company you're working for charges them more.

Fast paced grocery store with poor management
Cashier (Current Employee), Houston, TXSeptember 29, 2013
Pros: employee discounts of 20% off of store items
Cons: short breaks, management
Everyday has a lot of customers coming in and out of the store finding what they need and it would normally die down in the evening.
I learned that different people need different things and how I am able – more... to make an impact on their life just by asking how their day is going and having a conversation with the customer.
My Co-workers are fun, energetic, intelligent, and willing.
The Hardest part of my job would be not interacting with a customer. It's difficult not to talk to someone and find out what they need or how their day is going.
The Most enjoyable part of my job would be seeing the customer leave with a smile on their face because that lets me know that I did a good job at supplying them with their needs and satisfied them with my service. – less

Cashier/Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Houston, TxSeptember 27, 2013
Pros: hour lunches
Cons: short breaks
A typical day at work is busy in the mornings, slow during afternoon day, and very busy after work hours. I learned the pricing, and facing in the different departments. I learned the code of every vegetable, – more... and some new items. I learned somewhat of management, keeping the customers satisfied, money management, bill payment, money orders, money grams, etc. My co-workers were just that, co-workers, the hardest part of the job was to climb the corporate ladder. The most enjoyable time was when we had like festival time, and cookouts. – less

Pros: gifts for employee of the month, free lunches, going on outings with your workers
A typical day at work busy and never quiet. I have learned a lot from working at all my jobs things change but so bad that it is hard. Management at my jobs always took care of me they never down me always – more... said I was doing a ggod job. The co-workers I worked with all became my friends and always came to me for advice. I never encounter nothing at work that was to hard for me I tried my best in everything I do. The most important part of my job is making sure everyone was satisfied. – less
