Advocacy Intern, Chicago, IL - March 23, 2014
As an intern, I am not paid however, I love what I do for what it is. I come into work and check my mailbox and promptly begin to process intakes and log volunteer hours. Currently, I oversee over 100 volunteer medical advocates and keep track of their direct and indirect service hours, continuing education hours, and their individual contracts. I love the climate of this office; everyone is very accepting and open. The hardest part of my job is knowing when to take a time out. The most enjoyable part of my job is the feeling that I am making a change.
