Great place when you are single or at the beginning of your career
Senior Information Architect (Former Employee) –  Austin, TXNovember 24, 2017
Razorfish can exposure you to a wide variety of projects in different sectors relatively quickly. Some of the projects are "sexier" than others. Some of the projects are more stressful than others.

This job was a great fit at the beginning of my career due to the variety and travel. Some of this got a little old once I wanted to "stay put". They staffed projects without much regard to where people lived. It felt like a random lottery of every creative within the P&L. As a result, there was a A LOT of travel. When I check in with friends that still work there, this still seems to be the case.

If you want to rack up starwood points, this is the job for you!
Pros
Travel, great time off, exposure to a wide variety of projects
Cons
Travel

I enjoyed working for Razorfish. It was an enjoyable place to work until the company was sold again.

The company used leading technology until they were sold.
Pros

No work / Life Balance - Very Stressful
Group Director of Delivery Management (Former Employee) –  Los Angeles, CAOctober 3, 2017
Focused on one client which is not a good thing for the livelihood of the office and the employees.

Executive leadership came from SF and was not good for the office culture.
Pros
Smart people, good people.
Cons
Leadership will take advantage of you in every aspect they can.

Smart people, poor collaboration and poor management
Manager (Former Employee) –  New York, NYSeptember 19, 2017
Smart people with poor collaboration and poor management means the culture is very competitive. Had to learn a lot on my own as asking for help and getting it was not very likely. Of course that helped me get good survival skills.

Cool Spot
Manager (Former Employee) –  New York, NYAugust 8, 2017
A close knit work space where you work fast, learn fast, and push yourself to improve everyday. You are able to touch and be a part of every step of the process which gives you a better understanding of not only your own job, but what those around you are aiming to accomplish.

Senior Business Analyst (Former Employee) –  New York, NYJuly 19, 2017
I only served as a contractor for three months and was client side by myself that whole time so I don't have much to add. I did like the 25c soda at the machine though. =)

More of an advertising tech company
Media Technology Specialist (Former Employee) –  Seattle, WAJuly 16, 2017
Super fun place to work because management is very chill and all the teams seem to have fun together. I would say this is more of an "ad tech" ad agency because we were always coming up with fresh ideas that ended up creating industry standards. The work/life balance was amazing and if you needed to take a "work from home" day that was no problem at all. The funny part is you is you kind of didn't want to work from home because you had so much fun at work!
Pros
Great culture and work/life balance.
Cons
None.

Social Copywriter (Current Employee) –  Chicago, ILJune 30, 2017
"Social Team" is a nightmare. Poor management surrounding cool work with really smart people.Really good benefits, pay, overtime, vacation and PTO. Now clear path to promotion and not a place suggested staying at very long.

Front-End Developer (Former Employee) –  Los Angeles, CAJune 21, 2017
Solid work culture doesn't make up for the poor work/life balance. Lots of employees coming and going. Management included. Improving in many areas. Needs more stability.

I've learned and grown so much at Razorfish. The work culture is amazing, there is room to grow and colleagues are supportive of one another. The VP of UX is an excellent leader.

Lovely work associates, process sucked
Snr. Producer (Former Employee) –  El Segundo, CAMay 17, 2017
There were too many unknowns to mention.

There were hard working people who always needed to create a workaround due to lack of documentation and process. It very much, make it up as you go.

Many people with the wrong skillset for the title they held.
Pros
25 - 35 minute commute
Cons
Extremely hard to communicate directly with management, feedback was lacking.

Challenging work that lets me grow and has good work-life balance
Senior Functional Analyst (Current Employee) –  San Francisco, CAApril 24, 2017
Challenging work that lets me grow and has good work-life balance. Typical day at work is reviewing task board, working with the team to ensure quality work gets completed on time and client expectations are exceeded. Working cross-functional and multi-disciplinary team to get the job done.

Competitive, Challenging Workplace.
Media Planner (Former Employee) –  Seattle, WAMarch 15, 2017
For the most part it is what you might think of a world wide marketing agency. Competitive, challenging with layers of bureaucracy. Recent acquisition/merger with Sapient, has changed things. Difficult clients not managed well making client management very hard.
Pros
Decent Culture
Cons
long days, demanding clients.

Senior Presentation Layer Architect (Current Employee) –  New York, NYMarch 4, 2017
We've been merged so the culture is different than what it used to be. It's more corporate now, but within the old accounts we are still Razorfish, so it's still a fun place to work, for now.
Pros
Great people, good benefits
Cons
Getting lost in the merger

Senior Operations Analyst (Former Employee) –  Dayton, OHFebruary 2, 2017
While working for Razorfish, it was quite the positive learning experience. There are many different hats that one role entails. Also, their culture was laid-back and there was a very flexible work-life balance.

Exciting Work - Hard to Advance
Software Engineer (Former Employee) –  Chicago, ILJune 24, 2016
The work itself is pretty exciting. You get to work on projects for some big-name companies and the opportunity to make a difference. The people as a whole are fantastic - usually very nice and helpful.

Work-life balance lacks as well as the culture as of late. Put in a lot of hours without a lot of recognition. Promotions are hard to come by and they've been losing quite a bit of great talent.

The benefits were fantastic and general perks were great. Also the office is beautiful.
Pros
Smart people, decent pay, benefits, perks
Cons
Hard to advance, work-life balance
