Fun workplace, but very sales-oriented
Travel Guide (Current Employee), Carmel, INApril 9, 2014
Pros: free snacks, great benefits
Cons: short breaks, slow advancement
Meant for those who are sales driven and like daily pick-me-ups/morale boosters: contests and the like. Typical call center environment, with a high turnover rate.

Vacation Counselor (Former Employee), Carmel, INNovember 26, 2013
Pros: excellent benefits, vacation time
Cons: evening and holiday hours
RCI is a call center. We take inbound calls from members wanting to book a vacation or who have concerns regarding a previous booking or their membership.
Great working environment co-workers were the best. Sometimes the hardest part was an angry member who did not know what they had purchased.
I learned how to deal with difficult members.

People were great. Boss and job were not
Inspector (Former Employee), Belvidere, ILNovember 20, 2013
The People I worked with were very uplifting, and I did not mind the work itself. Sadly it was temp work and never knew what my schedule was. There was never an opportunity to actually be hired into the company. With no set schedule at all, and no opportunity, It was not the place for me.

Hard working people and very interactive
Laborer (Current Employee), Council Bluffs, IAAugust 3, 2013
Pros: employees are easy to get along with and boss is very understanding
Cons: some times no time for lunch. pay is to low for tyoe of work
The hardest part of the job is to stay in the warehouse and clean just to add a couple of hours of work.

A typical day consists of showing up to work pulling orders for trucks to take out. Loading trucks and then riding on the truck to customers house to deliver shingles. After words go to next house then go back to warehouse and get more shingles.

Co-workers – more... are mostly good people and they are hard workers.

I enjoy knocking on the doors of the peoples houses because its the only time I get to interact with costumers.

I learned more about shingles and how the roofing companies interact with each other. – less

Hi pressure place to work with little coaching support
Rci - Vacation Guide (Current Employee), indianapolis, inJuly 8, 2013
Pros: free coffee
Cons: constant public humiliation about performance among peers
Have not been there and "out of training mode" long enough to write a review. It's a very "time clock" driven situation and that is not something easy for my personality.

A Dying Dinosaur
Travel Guide (Former Employee), Taylorsville, UTJune 19, 2013
Pros: happy members when able to confirm their vacations
Cons: low wages, no crank and bank, dishonesty in sale tallies, employees are disposable
Got hired to work for this company not knowing what to expect. For the most part the employees are cattle and are frequently being discharged and hired. The pay is low with promises of getting higher wages through "crank and bank" sales, confirmations and deposits. The key word here is "sales" if, you don't sale their worthless "trading power protection, – more... platinum status and expensive extra vacations" you are released without warning. The company encourages unethical practices of guides charging members credit cards with these worthless additions under the premise that the members are wealthy and can afford it.

Not a great place to work and definitely not a long term option of employment. – less
