Great career - much to know! Perfect.
Associate Broker (Former Employee) –  Nashua, NHJune 19, 2017
Real Estate is a career where one must have a lot of knowledge about many different aspects of the transaction. They must be especially trustworthy.

Much of my career, including helping buyers and sellers, was spent in education and training. Finding the balance between one large aspect that was completely unpaid, and the other, which is paid when it completes, was difficult.

The culture is very independent - without the training, there is no help for a new Realtor. So I'd say the hardest part of the job is getting the information necessary to protect the client.

Every day is different, which makes it interesting.
Pros
Making your own schedule. Staying very busy.
Cons
No benefits, no training.

Fun Job
Professional Realtor (Current Employee) –  North Myrtle Beach, SCJuly 11, 2016
This job is great for those wanting family/work balance. Every single transaction is different so there is constant learning to take to the next client. The hardest part of this job is relying on others to make it close and sometimes things are out of the agents hands. It's very enjoyable meeting different people who have different needs and finding the perfect place for them to call home.
Pros
Flexible work schedule, family life balance
Cons
No benefits whatsoever, too many people involved in the transaction can cause trouble for it to close

As an Independent Contractor, Prudential is a good place to hang your license.
Associate Broker (Current Employee) –  Marietta, GAMarch 5, 2012
When the real estate market was flourishing, Prudential was a good place to work. Management cared about the agents, and commissions were fair, in comparison to other brokerage firms.
