fun place to work
Driver/Operator (Current Employee) –  Red Oak, TXJuly 31, 2017
Good place to work, can get in and out. just need more hours to be able to live. family friendly, will work with you when needed. Have daycare for your children. Your children can attend district if you are employed there. For the most part buses are in good condition. Routes are easy to follow and monitors are available when there is trouble on the bus. Able to get the training needed to perform job duties.
Pros
good place to work
Cons
need more hours

Substitute Teacher (Current Employee) –  Red Oak, TXJuly 29, 2017
Your schedule was based on availability of work posted by various schools with Red Oak ISD. If a teacher knew you personally they'd prefer you over another random instructor.
Pros
Different faces at each school, great opportunity
Cons
Not set schedule

The district is every "clicky" you have to know someone to make it.
Special Education Paraprofessional (Current Employee) –  Red Oak, TXJune 15, 2017
My love for education decreased within this district. Not only are the principals nearly impossible to deal with, your directors are worse. You have no backing when you desperately need it.

great and flexable place to work
Manager of Student Nutrition (Current Employee) –  Red Oak, TXJune 12, 2017
great place to work and they try really hard to keep the "family" atmosphere and small town appeal.

Typical day is opening up the Kitchen, assign daily duties to staff, serve breakfast and lunches to 300 students.

Daily productions records, managing financial information on student accounts, making daily deposits, collections of accounts, and keeping accurate USDA, TDA, and Health Inspection records.

Maintain open communication with School Leadership on a daily basis.
Pros
summers and all holiday breaks off
Cons
no room for growth or annual raises

Being apart of the support service department for Red Oak ISD over the summer was a great job for a high school kid. The full time guys there taught us different things like building stuff and doing other construction things.

Special Education Paraprofessional (Current Employee) –  Red Oak, TXJuly 12, 2016
As a teacher's aide I have learned how to manage a classroom and how to observe and monitor students. The school environment is amazing it feels like a family. The job is so rewarding when you see the smiles on the student's face and you feel like you are making a difference in their lives.

Excellent company to work for. Excellent classroom management. Great co-workers. The most challenging thing about job is keeping students challenged and focused. The most enjoyable is watching the students learn.
