In 1981, in response to these problems, Redneck made a change in direction, shifting from manufacturing, to trailer parts distribution, with the goal of becoming the most reliable source for trailer components in the industry.
The first Redneck Trailer Supplies branch opened in September of 1981, in Springfield, Missouri, which is also the site of – more... the company's administrative offices. Team members at these offices provide support for Redneck's customer service mission in areas such as Accounting, Information Systems, Human Resources, and Merchandising.
Redneck's Central Warehouse is also located in Springfield, Missouri. Its role is to provide inventory access, thus generating timely delivery of products to branch locations which directly serve Redneck's customers. This delivery is accomplished through a fleet of trucks that make regular, weekly delivery to Redneck's branch locations.
As Redneck's customer base spread, new branch warehouses were established: Wichita, Kansas, in 1982; Hampton, Iowa, in 1984; and Normal, Illinois, in 1986. In 1989, the fifth branch opened in Pennsylvania. In the spring of 1991, yet another branch opened in Sikeston, Missouri.
In June of 1991, the acquisition of H&S Trailer Parts from Leon Cummins, a major supplier in the trailer parts industry, immediately doubled the number of Redneck branches with locations in Chickasha, Oklahoma, Sulphur Springs, Texas, Frederick, Colorado, Tuscumbia, Alabama, and Lincolnton, North Carolina.
November of 1992 brought another branch opening in Columbus, Ohio. Other branches followed: Tampa, Florida (1993), St. Cloud, Minnesota (1995), Arlington, Texas (1995), Caldwell, Idaho (1998), Fowler, California (1999), Round Lake, New York (2003) and Mira Loma, California (2005). Redneck's most recent branch opened in 2009 in Byron, Georgia. With 20 branches, Redneck now has effective market coverage from the East Coast to the West Coast, which has enhanced and strengthened the customer service it can offer.
As a result, Redneck is highly valued by customers and vendors alike. It is Redneck's goal to continue to explore new, innovative ways to work together with both customers and vendors to constantly improve the quality of products and services.
As Redneck continues to grow, the company pledges not to lose sight of the original plan and purpose founder Ernie Giddens had for beginning the company. – less – More from ZoomInfo »
