Regency Energy Partners LP (Regency Energy Partners) is engaged in the gathering, processing, contract compression, marketing and transportation of natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs). The Company provides these services through systems located in Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and the mid-continent region of the United States, which includes Kansas – more... and Oklahoma. The Company operates in three segments: Gathering and Processing, which provides wellhead-to-market services to producers of natural gas; Transportation, which delivers natural gas from northwest Louisiana to markets in northeast Louisiana through the Company’s 320-mile Regency Intrastate Gas (RIGS) pipeline system, and Contract Compression, which provides turn-key natural gas compression services. On March 25, 2008, the Company acquired Nexus Gas Holdings, LLC by merger. On January 15, 2008, the Company and an indirect wholly owned subsidiary consummated an agreement and plan of merger with CDM Resource Management, Ltd.
