This facility has all the good and bad parts of a small facility. It is as I thought it would be. Lasting friendships. Though growth is limited by their size. Making movement very limited, and sometimes frustrating. They make up for this with great team work, because of a family atmosphere.
I presently am in case management. I have to have many people working together to ensure patient satisfaction in proper placement post hospitalization. Then, ensuring the hospital gets paid. I have been in this role of nursing for a year. But, I am primarily looking for a staffing position on a tele floor, or to come back to surgery. This is what I have been doing most of my nursing career.
Most enjoyable part of nursing is how you come to love the patients and their family's and then they go. The hardest part, well, the long fast paced frantic hours you sometimes are hit with. That always amazes me that all comes together so smoothly because of great team work. What have I learned; that after 20 years of nursing , I still love it.
ER Admitting Clerk (Former Employee) – Jackson, TN – May 22, 2017
Enjoyable but could be very tense at times. Night shift was either very slow or very fast, not much in between. Patients and families could be trying at times especially if the ER was full and service was slow.
A typical day is sitting at the lunch table with the ladies eating lunch or just enjoying each other company, I have learn a lot from the women I have worked with they really taught me how to do things that other place would not have time to teach or show you,They are wonderful women to be around.the hardest part of the day would be the time when we are very busy, I enjoy working for there company.
Contract Management Analyst (Current Employee) – Jackson TN – June 1, 2015
A typical day would consist of running variance reports to work to confirm if the insurance company has paid the claims correctly. The job is very detailed because you must work each claim carefully to make sure that the claim was not overpaid or underpaid.
I love my job, staff, and my dept. coworkers are my family. My director is awesome
Environmental Service Worker (Current Employee) – Regional Hospital of Jackson – March 23, 2015
I have been an employee for 18 months and have been treated with so much gratitude. The staff is a team as a whole, upper management and everyone in Human Resources are so sweet. The hospital always shows their appreciation for your work... popcorn, doughnut, pizza, ice cream parties, cook outs and rents the Family Fun Center for your whole family once a year, which is a very expensive event. I love working here! Join our team...
Friendly and appreciative
hiring process approval takes longer than it should
Central Scheduler (Former Employee) – Jackson, TN – February 17, 2015
I love meeting new patients and talking with them on the phone. After being employed here for a total of 16 years, my coworkers were like an extended family. I learned a lot about healthcare and benefits. I learned how to listen to patients if they needed someone to talk to. I love taking care of others and putting them first.
Good health benefits
We had several different supervisors over the course of the years
I enjoy working at this facility. My manager and senior management, as well as coworkers have made my transition here a pleasant one. I would recommend Regional Hospital to my friends and family for potential employment.
Lots of politics involved in the way things are ran. Upper management not involved enough in problems that the departments face (old equipment, etc.) Not rewarded on merits. However, MOST of the staff was wonderful.
Made lots of good friends there
Terrible hours (manditorily changed from what you initially hired into)
Excellent place to work:friendly, helpful and flexible with schedules/time off/vacation time.
LPN (Former Employee) – Jackson, TN – July 1, 2013
A rewarding experience taking care of patients. Some days more difficult than others. Departments in the hospital cooperative/friendly. Benefits excellent. Always enjoyed taking care of my patients, working with exceptional co-workers. Big family atmosphere. Hardest part of my job was when family were losing their loved one.
several activities for employees and their families
short breaks, not enough time in the day to do all you need to do.
