Poor, weak leadership
Warehouse Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Rogers, MNJanuary 17, 2017
Both upper management and Human Resources are incompetent. They don't have any idea how to lead and have no interest in solving real problems. But they do crack down on the radio stations played in the warehouse. HR doesn't know the first thing about employment law. They are not a union operation but they behave that way. Workers can get away with just about anything they want. They only thing that will get you fired is stealing...that's it.
They bring just one quick complaint to HR and then appease, appease, appease. Lower management has absolutely no authority and are constantly walked upon.
The technology in the warehouse is abject garbage.Their warehouse management system is literally from the 80's.
What's worse, these issues are corporate wide. Reinhart has shut down 2 facilities in 2 years time. Theew was a warehouse death in the Virginia facility earlier this year. They are cracking at the seams.
The only thing that keeps them in business are their big chain accounts. Without those, they are utterly uncompetitive.
Pros
Pay
Cons
Everything else.

Great colleagues with excellent sense of humor
Order Selector (Former Employee) –  Oak Creek, WIJanuary 11, 2017
A typical day at Reinhart was like a walk in the park. I learned that you will have people who love to distract you. Management was straight forward which in my eyes is respectable. My co-workers were literally with me just as much as my family, so we bonded. Hardest part of the job was when you come into work someone called in so now we need you guys who did show to pick up slack. The most enjoyable part was the fact that you controlled your pay rate, that is based on production

a wonderful experience to work at Reinhart, i had a very good relationship with everyone in the company.
Transportation Administrative Assistance (Former Employee) –  University Park, ILMarch 23, 2017
a typical day at Reinhart was, working on day shifts helping drivers, updating customer service with deliveries etas. phone calls, breakdowns, scheduling,

at Reinhart i learned that more than going to work, Reinhart was my 2nd home. Enjoyed going to work on a daily basis.

good management

the hardest part of the job was, some days were very stressful, due to weather, shortage of drivers, by having routes sitting and worked on getting deliveries done.

The most enjoyable part was having a very good relationship with every single co-worker
Pros
able to put in overtime. / good vacation and benefits.
Cons
going out of business.

It's a great place if all you care about is money. And don't want to see your family or friends. When I worked there I was working on average 12 hours a day 5 days a week and they ask most of the summer if the workers will work extra days. Great pay based on how well you perform. If you make mistakes the pay goes down.
Pros
Not usually micromanaged. Good benefits. Good co workers.
Cons
Bad management. Lack of personal life.

Inbound Forklift Driver (Former Employee) –  Harahan, LAFebruary 8, 2017
The company overall was great to work for , but management left things unfinished and were not professional towards their workers. You begin work at 5am but there is no work life balance and the company dings you for having to take care of issues such as child care.
Pros
pay is good.
Cons
no set time to get off work.

Long hours, no set routes
Truck Driver (Former Employee) –  Suffolk, VAOctober 26, 2016
Long hours everyday, blowing your big day almost every week. If there is an issue don't bring it up to management, nothing is done/changed they actually end up working you harder. Co-workers help when they can but they also have very long hours as well. The hardest part of the job is the run down equipment being unreliable.

Delivery Driver (Current Employee) –  Rogers, MNOctober 30, 2016
The pay and benefits are very good. Work long hours, company seems disorganized, but overall, not a bad place to work. The hardest part about the job is learning packages, stacking carts and running down a ramp.

Stay away from this company!!
Driver/Laborer (Former Employee) –  Oak Creek, WIJuly 28, 2016
Of all the years working , this is the worse company to work for. Management at first welcomes you in , but after that, they lie, and cheat their way in making you work like a dog. .They are so two faced, in everything they do, even the so call awards they have to show how great they are, is just a lie. Stay, far, far away from this company, and seek employment else where, now that is the truth!!
Pros
Big Company
Cons
Long hours, work like a dog, management lies all the time, need a full page for this section.

Employees have no job security
Forklift Operator/Warehouse (Former Employee) –  Cedar Rapids, IADecember 17, 2016
I worked hard during my time at Reinhart and favoritism from management for workers that were outside friends ruined my opinion on the company completely. It becomes unacceptable and completely unprofessional when a vast majority of employees acknowledge this as a problem and it is simply over looked by higher man agent. It is said that the majority don't quit the job, they quit the management.

Driver (Former Employee) –  Suffolk, VANovember 30, 2016
This company is full of lies. They work the mess out of you and you get little pay. They will tell you they will offer you training but that is just to get you in the door. After that its all on your own. Communication is the worst and they don't have any clue about routing what so ever. If you go here you have a better chance of survival over the road.

Truck Driver (Former Employee) –  Valdosta, GAOctober 14, 2016
Managers are clueless, they can't route, their dispatching skills are lack luster. They claim to be a family company, but never approve vacation requests and forget about taking a day due to illness. They constantly cater to the "ol timers" that gossip and spread drama. No security. No time for family. Don't waste your time. Apply with US Foods and PFG instead.
Pros
Monday-Friday
Cons
No job security.constant drama. Treated poorly. Low pay.

Not a good place to work at all.
Driver (Former Employee) –  Johnson City, TNJanuary 13, 2017
Was hired on as a driver but instead spent 98% of the time being a driver helper. They will leave you off work for a couple of days at a time, but if you take a personal day for doctors appointment or whatever they tell you that you can't be out because they need you on a route. Then they give you the speech about communicating with them about time off but they don't communicate with you when they leave you off the schedule for a couple days at a time. Then you have the select few that get their way about whatever they want. And the pay is a joke you can make more at $10 an hr job with overtime. Your work day starts between 2:00 and 5 am with 10 to 15 hr days. They are unorganized and nobody has a clue about what's going on half the time.

Chip on Shoulder is showing
Sales Consultant (Former Employee) –  Suffolk, VASeptember 6, 2016
Top Management at Reinhart Sales is a boss, not a leader. Does not value strong employees and allow them to grow but rather stifle and pump up his own self, he takes all the glory and is completely out of touch with his own team. He still trying to prove SYSCO lost something of value but few believe him or in him.

Coworkers are stronger than this manager, warehouse has the strongest team of all departments, supervisor values training, coaching and recognizing the hard work of his team. It goes a long way.
Pros
Operations and Customer Service
Cons
Not ethical in upper management and does not care nor does corporate level care
