Develops, coordinates and implements educational activities for staff development. Serves as a clinical expert, educator, and change agent in the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of staff development programs. Consults with clinical directors, physicians, risk management and nursing administration on the organization’s educational requirements to ensure patient and staff needs are met. Develops educational policies and procedures. Coordinates hospital wide general orientation for new hires. Current Texas RN license. Minimum BSN, master's preferred. In depth knowledge of clinical levels of nursing's current issues relevant to professional practice. Demonstrated expertise in clinical management of patient populations. Knowledge of and demonstrated competency in adult learning theory and group dynamics.
