Working at Rentrak

  • Rentrak employee in Vancouver, Washington 73 months ago
I would not consider working for this company. I have a friend who works at Rentrak, who has explained to me that the company is down-sizing several of their divisions in response to losing a major client and are only looking for temporary developers. They have no intention of keeping you past their due dates.

Rentrak has its good and bad points. The atmosphere between co-workers is friendly. There's about 200+. You can put on a tie or dress casual. There's always a place to park. The equipment and facilities are modern. Rentrak typically attracts entry-level employees. Higher education is normally not a requirement. This is true in existing management. Men are concentrated in the software development, finance, and sales depts.Women generally hold traditional positions such as receptionists, admins, credit and customer service reps. Ethnic minorities are not present in a manager's meeting. Raises and bonuses don't happen every year.
