The moral working for this company was very low in both staff and management
Z24 Management (Former Employee) –  Ontario, CAAugust 24, 2017
As the company has undergone many changes, each employee was expected to increase their caliber of performance while loosing vital infrastructure components. Many changes in each department made for a very discordant environment and the lack of open support from the top tier management at times lead to very unpleasant work situations. As the company moves forward and the CA recycling fund dissipates the financial future as well as stability of this company will be uncertain.
Pros
Colleagues in this position were understanding and helpful when able
Cons
Work flow for the position was a 24/7 responsibility, Lack of the ability to take personal/vaccation time, Low Moral

You want an opnion
Recycling Specialist (Former Employee) –  Ontario, CAMarch 13, 2017
In all sincerity, the environment between personal and professional is non existent. It is like that in the majority of San Diego however, I am accustomed to it now. They're lawful, they communicate affectively to employees. Each supervisors managerial style is different. However, if you a supervisor that works with his or her team instead of manages like a dictator, then you'll have a pleasant experience.
Pros
Flexible, guaranteed hours, benefits once tenured
Cons
Certain customers, locations of centers

Very busy but time flies by.
Recycling Specialist (Former Employee) –  Rancho Cordova, CAMarch 8, 2017
Very busy work, warehouse experience, work by yourself, dirty work, often grumpy customers, makes going home at the end of the day very satisfying. Much easier when help is provided.

Very tough. Not a job for everyone
Recyling Specialist (Former Employee) –  Pasadena, CAFebruary 16, 2017
At first, my impression was that there would be more than one worker at a site. Sadly, that is not the case. You are mostly handling customers, sorting and dumping materials, and imputing data into a computer. This may seem quite easy to do, however it's a totally different perspective. The amount of work put in doing these task are exhausting and really a job like this is simply not logical for one person to do. Sure I gained somr experience, but I'm young and I feel like I'm wasting precious time when I could find a job less taxing and more convenient.
Pros
Setting your own breaks, bonuses, meeting cool customers
Cons
Too much work for one person, pressure to clock out on time while being busy with customers, need to increase wage to acomadate for work put in.

the customers were great, the supervisers had no clue on demographics
Recycling Specialist (Former Employee) –  Clearlake Ca.August 24, 2015
Opened site cleaned site and machines Greeted customers made it fun for them to recycle. the customers came back time after time to see what I would come up with next. they enjoyed that the machines had very little trouble when I wasn't there. Gave customers their Recycling voucher to take to the store for redemption. the hardest part of the job was lifting and breaking the glass containers. The mid management needs to listen to the Specialists in the area that they are working. The demographics for each area are so different from the next. The loyal customers are the best part of the job they help keep the rif-raff from making a terrible mess around the site and destroying the machines.
Pros
The Loyal customers
Cons
the summers/winters in a metal box
