The Rescue Mission of Trenton is not a true halfway house. It is more like a work house. Clients needs are not addressed in an ethical fashion. Some staff members are not respectful toward staff or clients. Difficult place to work if you care about your clients and their well being or you have ethical standards.
Provide meals for $30/month. Good pay, 401K, and health care benefits
A typical day at work is ,coming in at 8:00 am and checking emails, answering machines, getting the day situated. After it is understood whats on the days agenda ,I proceed to making calls doing follow ups on potential donors, and assisting the other interns.

When considering work opportunities at the Rescue Mission, please consider your professional goals as your stay there will be limited. The culture is one-sided, geared to upper management whom are all "related."
Great place to work once adjusted and trained in all areas. Some of the staff are friendly and helpful. Loved working with the clients, they are grateful and for the most part interested in moving forward in their lives. Very rewarding!

my overall day at work was productive/ my co-workeers were very polite and easy to work with. my hardest part of the job would have been unloading heavy furniture and moving it to awkward areas. my most enjoyable time would have been how we all worked together as a team.
