Horrible Place to Work
Clinical Director/Therapist (Former Employee) –  New Orleans, LADecember 6, 2017
This company is unethical in every way. They hide behind non-existent values, and treat employees like trash. The upper management is very messy, and does nothing. It is a racist company. Upper management is a pack of bullies. You will be used, and then thrown away. They don't care about the mentally ill population in our city. This company should be ashamed of their track record. RUN!!!!!!
Pros
Vacation time
Cons
Everything but the vacation time.

Productive and fun workplace with RHD
Residential Advisor (Former Employee) –  Philadelphia, PANovember 20, 2017
RHD is one of the most easiest jobs I've ever had. The pay was good and the duties such as getting the food ready for the clients was the most fun and creative part. The co workers definitely made the job more fun as well. The most hard part of all is dealing with the clients that get violent or try t escape from the facility.
Pros
Cooking food for the clients
Cons
Dealing with the bad clients

Direct Support Professional (Former Employee) –  Memphis, TNAugust 22, 2017
Homes have bed bugs. Company will not call professionals to handle bed bugs. Very low pay. People in the office make all the money. Company offers no support in crisis situations with clients.
Pros
They will feed you. They love to eat.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) (Former Employee) –  Philadelphia, PAJuly 3, 2017
Overall I enjoyed working with the consumers but management was a different story. Management talked to you like you were beneath them. Management would take your hours away from you if you spoke up for yourself.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) (Current Employee) –  Lincoln, NEJune 29, 2017
This company provides support to adults who have developmental disabilities. The service provided are adequate, but the administration is inharmonious and there is a sever lack of accountability among those responsible for keeping the ship afloat. Issues seem to exclusively roll down hill and burden those who are in no equipped to solve them.
Pros
flexible schedule
Cons
administration is very inconsistent the way they conduct business

NOT an ethical company
DSP (Direct Support Professional) (Former Employee) –  Lincoln, NEJune 13, 2017
Don't ever expect a raise--that does not happen. Advancement is stagnant, and the management does not employ any teamwork. The management staff is cliquish and gossipy, They do not respect the opinions of others or follow employment laws. To be avoided at all costs.
Pros
The clients can be engaging
Cons
Management is not supportive or team players

Only use as a stepping stone don't get comfortable
Site manager (Former Employee) –  Philadelphia, PAJune 10, 2017
Ok place to work as a stepping stone, but if you have plans on obtaining a degree don't expect to be promoted or given a raise. I am leaving due to lack of growth and stagnation.
Pros
Flexible (unless you get stuck on a shift due to a call out and no coverage)
Cons
Stagnant management, don't want to see people grow or move up

Generous Time Off
Anonymous (Current Employee) –  AnonymousMay 29, 2017
Working at RHD is extremely stressful. There is virtually no accountability, processes, or structure. Many staff are immature, make negative comments about clients (they call them crazy) or openly mock them. The culture is so bad, work out equipment was placed in the middle of one of the departments and as I was walking past on my way to my desk they were screaming at someone using the equipment. There is virtually no professionalism. Turnover at RHD is extremely high and people normally quit within 6 months of hire.
Pros
Generous time off and Great Work/Life Balance
Cons
Poverty wages, unusable health insurance due to expense

Office Manager (Former Employee) –  East Stroudsburg, PAApril 26, 2017
I loved my job, I worked there for 15 years but the lack of communication and drama took a toll. They also expect employees to go above and beyond there job duties without compensation. There have been no raises for years.
Pros
Flexible, relaxed environment, no dress code
Cons
Healthcare, retirement, director
