Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Grand Prairie, TXMarch 24, 2017
A typical day at RH was laid back, calls back to back. I learned how to look up items in a catalog. Management was nice and helpful. Workplace culture was fun. the hardest part about RH was figuring out measurements for customers. The most enjoyable were my coworkers

Luxury (Conceptual) Furniture Sales Consultant (Former Employee) –  New York, NYMarch 24, 2017
Great workplace with plenty of incentives and cultural diversity. Fast paced sales environment with quality management. A company which hires quality talent, fostered independent and critical thinking in sales, and groomed each employee for leadership.

Custom Product Specialist (Former Employee) –  Tracy, CAMarch 20, 2017
I loved what I did with RH and it was a fun environment. At times it was hectic, but always fun and challenging. My peers were supportive and management was always willing to help. Clients in my department were innovative in thought and allowed me to be a part of their design needs which was great!

Trade Team Lead (Former Employee) –  Tracy, CAMarch 12, 2017
The job was fun.
Hours are horrible.
Management was fair.
The work culture was your ordinary call center environment.
Hardest part is having split days off and mandatory weekend day.
The most enjoyable part of the job is the opportunity for overtime.
Pros
Benefits from day 1
Cons
Have to work at least 1 weekend as your schedule

Lost its way
Leadership Team Member (Former Employee) –  Vacaville, CAMarch 7, 2017
The work life balance is outrageous. The leadership is out of touch with their people. Even those who speak up are never actually heard. This used to be a people first company that actually inspired their teams to do great things. Now there is no support from above and when there is, they usually make things worse. The good people they have are stretched too thin and not rewarded for their hard work and determination.

The only good things are that the products are really nice, and they manage to get incredible people to work there, they just cannot keep them.
Pros
People and Products
Cons
Leadership, work/life balance, burn out.

Wonderful atmosphere, extremely overstaffed. The people are amazing. A normal day would consist of fielding calls to assist the wealthy 3% with there decor and home furnishings being purchased via website. The systems are solid not seeing too many bugs or failures.
Pros
Great people!!!

Great place to learn
NA (Former Employee) –  Headquarters, CAFebruary 24, 2017
Great working environment with incredibly talented teams and coworkers. If working indefinite overtime is your thing, than RH is the right place for you. Perfect environment for beginners in creative disciplines to learn from the best in the industry. Working at RH is constant dedication to perfection even if that means working straight 16 hour day and by definition missing a deadline. Be prepared for meetings that never happen on time.

Meeting great people . Beautiful building. Poor leadership
Former member (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAFebruary 18, 2017
Hiring process is redicilous. Going through 4 interviews just to get in as part time for $12/hour. Hours are not consistent. You get cut if business is slow . Stressful environment. Values are a joke. They talk about them , but not follow them. Luxury and design background is preferable, but they hire the wrong people. Very high turnover. If you speak your mind , you immediately in the drama triangle. Is this a cult?
Pros
Some people were fun to work with .
Cons
No commission pay, bonus, or raise .Pressure to sale, but no compensation.

Its a cult
Gallery Designer (Current Employee) –  Tampa, FLFebruary 16, 2017
RH is a cult that puts inexperienced leaders in charge of arenas they have no experience in. In my time there I enjoyed being a leader and mentor of design with my team but found that I was being cut off at every turn by upper management in trying to further the business concept of operating like a design firm. The way they treat employees and clients alike is deplorable.

Reporting Analyst (Current Employee) –  Tracy, CAFebruary 16, 2017
RH is a very fast paced company currently going through a lot of changes. They have a saying, "Fast is as slow as we go" and they mean it. They value innovation, quality, service oriented employees, and people who have a distinct point of view.
