Poor fool that worked here (Former Employee) –  Arlington, TXJuly 10, 2015
This company has a history of over 30% turn over rates and does not value employees unless you are a pet. They will lie amd offer promotions to try to keep you on, then lead you on for months until you call them on it and quit. Even the owners are at each other's throats and will use employees, major projects, and promotions as ways to poke each other in the eye.
Management will also create a new position, expect you to develop it, hire people from outside with the same title and job, expect you to train them, and then pay them $10k more/yr. That is from personal experience.

Certain departments get away with dictating how another will work with no input from the affected department. The management that does this operates off of their perception of how things work (which is usually erroneous) with no regard to reality or feasibility. It is certain people's way only with no room for input or effort to work with the other departments. There is a lot of friction in internal power struggles between the departments.

A typical day at work involved a no win situation in which you waste too much time in meeting that acheive little to nothing. When doing your job you have to overcome roadblocks created by management that will ensure failure with the knowlege that it all may be deemed to be your fault in the end. It also involves doing the same thing over and over with management expecting different results.

Management does not listen to employees. It isn't until they step in to "fix" a problem that they remove the roadblocks they impose so they look good.
Ex) 40 products
more... needed to be manufactured daily just to keep up with orders. Only 10 could would get through, but management would not allow OT, hiring, and would sabotage efforts to automate and make things efficient. They usually find a scape goat to blame and then take it upon themself to "fix" it. The problem is that their "fix" is always tempory, ie. months of mandatory OT. After they do so, they step back and give their pet employees promotions and raises while ignoring others who actually do the work, and while the backlog builds again. 6 months later they will wonder why the backlog is so bad again and start blaming production, planning, qc, or enyone else in the way. This cycle happened many times in the years I worked there.

Management has extremely poor communication and the complain about everyone else's communication. There are no clear goals or direction from management. You and your coworkers will find yourself chasing the shiney thing of the month.

I have worked for this company for 3 years before having to leave due to medication issues. This is a family company and they look out for their employees first.

Loved my job and my daily duties, management was great and loved going to work everyday. The work was challenging and rewarding. I would have loved to stay there but they had a lot of lay offs which was unfortunate.

Customer Service (Former Employee) –  Arlington, TXMay 4, 2012
A typical day of work at Ricca Chemical was consistent work and a people friendly environment. I learned that customers are the most important priority of this company, and in most cases are always right. My co-workers were awesome and helpful to my growth and development. The hardest thing about this job was learning the recognition of the labels and the different numbers of similar chemicals. The most enjoyable part of this job was having the opportunity to learn more and to gain more knowledge in the customer service and administration filed.
Pros
holiday participation
