Heavy Equipment Operator /Site Foreman, Connecticut - November 21, 2016
A typical day of work during my time spent at Richards was always rewarding. From the day I started there as a laborer / operator to the time i left the company working as a site foreman I never worked a day that i felt wasn't appreciated. This company more than any other i have worked for was not only fair to all employees but also had a way of inspiring anyone willing to learn and advance their position. I was a prime example of that and will be forever grateful for the amount of time they invested to allow me to learn and eventually become a valuable asset to the company. I learned everything about print reading, site layout, general principles of fine grading, working with elevations, etc.. The most difficult part of my job once i had been promoted to a foreman position was also the most enjoyable part of my job. Because of how well I was prepared when i was given the opportunity to supervise a crew and run a job site I was not set up for failure. My employers expected the most out of me and I always felt determined to deliver. This type of a work atmosphere gave me a sense of self pride and confidence. These are values that are key to the progress that i have made in this field.
