Richmond-MORE is a mountain bike club for the Richmond metro and surrounding areas, affiliated with Mid-Atlantic Off Road Enthusiasts (MORE) which is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit all-volunteer organization.
Our membership is 150 strong, a sampling of thousands of area mountain bikers. We were established in May of 2004 as a Chapter of our NOVA counterparts. – more... In a 2 year span we have restored miles of trail that fell to hurricanes Isabel and Gaston. We have proudly revamped Forest Hill Park trails, and built the North Trail Connector.
As a reward to our hard efforts, Richmond-MORE was awarded the Governor's / Bike Walk Virginia Award in May of 2005. In the summer of 2006 we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) jointly with Forest Hill Park and Friends of Forest Hill to help maintain and expand the trail system. We are currently working out the details for a city-wide MOU with all Richmond-Parks containing trails and we are also working on other avenues outside of the city to build more mountain bike trails.
Richmond-MORE is committed to environmentally sound and socially responsible mountain biking, facilitating recreational trail cycling, educating about the sport of mountain biking, maintaining local trails, and advocating for increased multi-user trail access.
