fun workplace
Associate Manager (Former Employee), Glendale, AZOctober 29, 2013
Pros: working with kids and great part-time employees
Cons: inappropiate conduct of store manager
High-energy workplace
how to cross-promote with other companies
At first, management was great and unfortunately, I quickly became uneasy with store managers inappropriate conduct and unprofessional language towards me.
Co-workers were fantastic and hard working individuals
Hardest part of the job was working with the store manager who was very unprofessional – more... and inappropriate. Working with kids was an amazing experience, even during the busiest time of year. – less

Shop Crew Member (Former Employee), Anaheim, CAJuly 31, 2013
Pros: everything
Cons: it being in the center of downtown disney
Build your own customized R/C car. Great work environment, great people and great customers.

Typical day was showing customers how to build their cars and how to put it together.

Keeping it all going with multiple customers.

seeing the smile on kids faces when they get their fully built cars.

ridemakers
ridemakerz (Current Employee), Lake Buena Vista, FLJuly 6, 2013
ridemakers is basiclly a young company trying to make it a major busniess. the conecpt is nice but the people that you have working there such as the mangers all have a differnt way of doing things which makes it way more harder to work and to be able to have all the things done right.

Like family
Logistics Team Specialist and Retail Associate (Former Employee), Orlando, FLApril 24, 2013
Pros: flexible, fun environment, freedom
Cons: too much down time means hours cut
The work is fun and lively, but like anything can become repetitive. Working with children is a pleasure, as they usually come in very excited to build their own car. The management is given a lot of room for creativity, so you will not be crushed (too much) by those who work in the offices.

Fun place to work if you like kids
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Anaheim, CAMarch 12, 2013
Pros: fun, fast paced, work with children
Cons: fast paced, short shifts, minimum wage
A typical day at RIDEMAKERZ is usually fast paced and satisfying as many customers that come up to you. I learned what it felt like to be in a hectic work environment. Management is very nice and will help you if you need it. Everyone who works there are a bunch of goofballs because that what the job entails. They're funny, nice, and very helpful. The – more... hardest part of the job is keeping for someone who isn't used to it. The most enjoyable is seeing the smiling faces of kids that get there brand new toy. – less

Does anyone know what's going on?
Crew Member (Former Employee), Lake Buena Vista, FLDecember 20, 2012
Pros: 20% discount, awesome non-manager crew
Cons: job instability, ignorant management
The job itself is fun. Helping people build cars and understand the different prices can be a blast, especially when dealing with kids who are so excited! However you have too many managers managing too few people who have no idea what they are doing. This is some of the worst management I have ever seen! Also the pricing is not terribly clear so if – more... a customer gets mad, guess who gets blamed. Also the management loves to take credit for our work and make us look bad in front of customers. – less

Pros: lots of toys to test

Ridemakerz was a really great place to work, the people were very supportive. I learned so much about cars and Disneyland.. things that sparked a new found love for both.
