This was a good first job. This is definitely a good one to start in. the people are nice, but the guests can get a little frustrated at the price. The managers are great to work with and super friendly. Make sure you do your job well and they will like you.

We were located in New York's FAO Schwarz but since it closed down we moved to the Toys R Us in Times Square. Ever since we moved business has been terribly slow. Its to the point where employees are only scheduled 1 day a week, and that isn't helping anyone. While we were at FAO, the store would always be busy and kids would be in and out of the store busying cars.

A typical day at work would be playing with the remote control cars to attract potential customers. Then we would help the kids and parents build their own remote control car. I met some wonderful coworkers with whom I still keep in contact with to this day. I was a seasonal employee but they let me go because of the move that was made
CREW MEMBER (Former Employee) – New York, NY – June 22, 2015
A typical day at work consisted of coming in, getting assigned to your specific location (cash register, wheels, parts) and greeting the customers, and helping customers, upselling items, helping kids and adults get what they need, selling building toy cars! If you're put in that station.. etc
Management was not great. They were very messy when giving orders. One would tell you to do one thing and the other would tell you you're not doing the right thing.. so you're being pulled in a million directions which are all wrong according to each supervisor or manager. Otherwise friendly management. And sometimes too many employees or not enough employees in a shift.
Coworkers were friendly, and fun to work with
Hardest part was dealing with angry customers.
Best part was building cars with funny kids and even adults.
Associate Manager (Former Employee) – Glendale, AZ – October 29, 2013
High-energy workplace how to cross-promote with other companies At first, management was great and unfortunately, I quickly became uneasy with store managers inappropriate conduct and unprofessional language towards me. Co-workers were fantastic and hard working individuals Hardest part of the job was working with the store manager who was very unprofessional and inappropriate. Working with kids was an amazing experience, even during the busiest time of year.

ridemakers is basiclly a young company trying to make it a major busniess. the conecpt is nice but the people that you have working there such as the mangers all have a differnt way of doing things which makes it way more harder to work and to be able to have all the things done right.
Logistics Team Specialist and Retail Associate (Former Employee) – Orlando, FL – April 24, 2013
The work is fun and lively, but like anything can become repetitive. Working with children is a pleasure, as they usually come in very excited to build their own car. The management is given a lot of room for creativity, so you will not be crushed (too much) by those who work in the offices.
Sales Associate (Former Employee) – Anaheim, CA – March 12, 2013
A typical day at RIDEMAKERZ is usually fast paced and satisfying as many customers that come up to you. I learned what it felt like to be in a hectic work environment. Management is very nice and will help you if you need it. Everyone who works there are a bunch of goofballs because that what the job entails. They're funny, nice, and very helpful. The hardest part of the job is keeping for someone who isn't used to it. The most enjoyable is seeing the smiling faces of kids that get there brand new toy.

The job itself is fun. Helping people build cars and understand the different prices can be a blast, especially when dealing with kids who are so excited! However you have too many managers managing too few people who have no idea what they are doing. This is some of the worst management I have ever seen! Also the pricing is not terribly clear so if a customer gets mad, guess who gets blamed. Also the management loves to take credit for our work and make us look bad in front of customers.
