Good tables game department but need more opportunities for advancement and better work hours
Blackjack Dealer (Former Employee) –  Norman, OKOctober 1, 2017
Typical work day was 8hrs fun fast pace fun stressful, needs better opportunity for advancement and better house also should hire all dealers at pt 38 so they can have health insurance the 29hr hiring is not worth the amount of training or stress that each dealer has to deal with everyday and night. The company makes enough money and the only department to hire pt still is blackjack which isn't right.

Fast paced workplace with some downtime to recover like any other customer service job. Mandatory work days/black out days every year. Great benefits.

To much Drama and no real managment
Game Technician (Current Employee) –  OklahomaJanuary 21, 2017
Managment only wants to be popular and in a "click". Needs alot of changes. No customer service. Pay needs to be better. Low moral. Workers and customers alike are not happy.
Pros
Health insurance
Cons
Pay is terrible

Very fast paced work enviroment. Not always fair when it to career advancement opportunities. Had fun working with computers most of the time. The hardest part was filling out hundreds of legal documents per day without any room for error at all.
Pros
health benifits

unfair advancement opportunities

Comm operator, Maintenance, HR Specialist (Former Employee) –  Norman, OKSeptember 24, 2015
Riverwind is a fair place to work. They run a fairly tight working environment, and help many employees and members of the Chickasaw Nation. It is one of the best casinos I've ever been to.

M.R. Vault (Money Room) (Former Employee) –  Norman, OKMay 14, 2015
The department I worked in was hard work, very fast paced, dirty, and you had to be very accurate. The job could get very stressful at times.
Pros
Great benetits
Cons
With all the money that the casino makes, you would think they could pay better. You work very hard behind the scenes and make such low pay.

Soft Count Clerk (Former Employee) –  Norman, OKMarch 18, 2015
Signed in with security, clock in with pin, open key box with pin.
Sign out key cards for slot machines, huddle up talk with supervisor
get separated into three to four teams with a team leader in each on. Waited for security guards in money room, when out with different section caged carts. keep a log with each team name and log if anything went wrong, had a walkie-talkie on all times to communicate with supervisor.
Go row to row on casino floor with cart and two security guards to communicate to the security cameras. Each on of us had a part one does cart, runs boxes back and fourth, or opens the section of slot machines.
Then when all cleared off casino floor when into the secured money room, unloaded carts, put boxes in order on table and unlock with key, place money and tickets in order in the bucket and load into the money counter.
I would say the hardest part of the job was physical, had to stay in shape to move quick and get done on time
Most enjoyable part of job, was making friends and joking around with team mates, and listening to music and got a free work out.
Every quarter they would have everyone get together at each shift and have awards and games with prizes and food
Also they give you a free tour at the Chickasaw Nation in Sulphur OK.
Pros
half price on buffet, and hotel room, awesome insurance, they take care of the employees well
Cons
Not being able to play when not at work

Vault Clerk (Former Employee) –  Norman, OKJanuary 21, 2015
The day started at 645 pm until about 1-2 ish am. I learned a lot about poker and blackjack rooms and taking money from the machines and counting all monies collected, ie; chips and cash.

There was nothing hard about the job. The coworkers were fun.
Pros
A lot of understanding from management if you made mistakes.
Cons
A lot of silly rules.
