About Roane State Community College
The Roane Choral Society is a non-profit organization governed by a Board of directors elected from both the chorus and the local community. Funding for our season comes from individual and corporate contributions. The Board and choral members work diligently to raise these funds in a continuing effort to bring our community the very best in musical – more... performances. We hope you will consider joining the supporters of Roane Choral Society. Given the drastic reduction in monies from the National Endowment for the Arts and The Tennessee Arts Commission, we are increasingly dependent on contributions and ticket sales to enable us to continue our musical offerings to Roane County and the surrounding area.
In addition to presenting concerts, the Roane Choral Society supports the local school music education both financially and providing opportunities for local grade schools, middle schools and high schools to participate in community concerts. Your support for these activities through the Roane Choral Society is greatly appreciated.
The singers of Roane Choral Society are volunteers who meet two hours for rehearsals on Monday evenings. We invite you to attend and sing with us. No prior choral experience is required.
