While the job itself is great, the conditions one has to deal with is why this company gets a low review. The following areas will be the downfall of this company:
1) Data is not readily available in order to make informed decisions. There is a level of preconceived mistrust in regards to information, therefore it is an act of congress to get what you need in a timely manner.
2) The company begrudges investments in IT, it instead sees them strictly as a cost. BI tools, refinements/improvements of core systems, implementation of best in class software have all been thrown out the window for second rate, half way implemented, patch jobs.
Until the old guard has moved on and information is given its due importance, the company will remain stagnate in the realm of internal innovation and advancement.
