Assistant Manager (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXOctober 17, 2017
To many hours on my feet. Had 1 good General Manager and 1 not so good. No consecutive days off. Not a good place to work if you value family time. Work every weekend.

Rooms to Gof
Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Arlington, TXOctober 15, 2017
Management at Rooms to Go treats the employees as though they are children. There is a lack of respect between employer and employee. They also make it difficult for customers to make purchases as well as salespeople to make sales.

Pros/ Cons for Rooms To Go
Customer Service (Current Employee) –  Seffner, FLOctober 9, 2017
Overall enjoyed working with the people that worked there, but it does feel like your more in school than a work place. Also you don't really get recognized on the good that you do. They point out more the bad.
Pros
Bonus, and overtime
Cons
Short breaks, and not enough paid time off.

Bad Management
Forklift Operator (Former Employee) –  Dunn, NCOctober 6, 2017
Management was inconsistent and discriminatory in their practices. They reprimand their highly productive and loyal workers and promote and allow their unproductive undependable workers to have special treatment/opportunities.If you take planned time off or leave for appointments/family emergencies/etc they reprimand and write you up.

Assistant Store Manager
Assistant Store Manager/Store Manager (Former Employee) –  Alpharetta, GAOctober 6, 2017
Micromanaged from upper management to store level. Woman don't have a chance to get ahead in management. Work hours were disgusting. For a company that says its family oriented (yes for owners family and upper management), they don't care about store employees and lack of THIER lives.
Pros
Health insurance
Cons
Ungodly hours, hours, hours

One word: Sweatshop
Fork Lift Department Manager (Former Employee) –  Katy, TXOctober 2, 2017
I don't recommend this company to anyone.

The products they sell- 90% of them are made overseas with ridiculously low quality materials and very dangerous chemicals, you don't want them in your home.

The culture there is sink or swim- and they will push you to swim 110% of the time.

Unless your working first shift, you will absolutely work 10-14 hour shift daily.
Pros
Ability to move up quickly
Cons
No work life balance at all, very low pay

unorganized and unethical
Retail Stock Associate (Former Employee) –  LouisianaSeptember 25, 2017
The store was unorganized and had shady practices. The store manager spent more time working as a warehouse worker than managing the store. Even though his intentions were good they backfired the next day. one day one of the employees was explaining to me the ways of the store. The words you have to trick the customer was used. I had noticed lots of furniture that was scratched and damaged with the damage being hidden.
Pros
wages
Cons
short lunches and breaks

Ok place to work

Decent place to work. However, all the stores have recently become overstaffed which makes it difficult for the rest of the more experienced reps to make decent money.
Pros
Good Benefits, decent employee discount, lots of paid time off plus holiday payback
Cons
Long hours, overstaffed.

Sales Associate (Current Employee) –  Panama City Beach, FLSeptember 18, 2017
No work life balance...hours are not good for family life. Management was very micro-management style and standards to perform. Strong arming by upper management to hit their goals meanwhile too much unnecessary worries to hit goals.
Pros
Money
Cons
Upper Management goals
