Great environment to work, Loved going to work everyday.
Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent (Former Employee), Prineville, ORApril 1, 2014
Data entry on labor reports or billing. I learned every thing that I could about the electrical side of construction. Loved going to work every day due to a great family environment. Organization when you have 20+ new hires in a day, it could get a little chaotic. I'm a people person so I got to know so many wonderful craft workers.

CW1-B Construction Wireman (Former Employee), Forest City, NCMarch 31, 2014
Pros: excellent pay, many hours
Cons: job security
I worked as a construction wireman doing industrial wiring. I really enjoyed this job. The pay was great, I was able to work a lot. I learned a lot from the journeymen wiremen, and gained a lot of practical and valuable experience. The biggest drawback was job security, it was only temporary according to the needs of the job site.

Pros: i learned alot
Cons: unorganized, favoritism
A work day there could be good depending on your own productivity.
I learned a sufficient amount to give nothing but production.
The coworkers environment was good the moral was there.
The most enjoyable part was the learning experience.

Great job!
Journeyman Electrician (Former Employee), Prineville, OregonSeptember 17, 2013
Wish this one could have gone on forever. The whole crew really worked well together. I believe this came from management. We started the day with a meeting lead by the higher ups. The guys that on most jobs you never see. This gave us the impression that they were connected to us. There were times, with deadline closing in that we had to pull together – more... and really work a lot to get it done. We always made it and took great pride in that fact. – less

EPC contractor (Current Employee), La Palma, CAAugust 26, 2013
Pros: esop, car allowance
Cons: not well managed in certain divisions, leadership lacks integrity, uses vendor relationships to sponsor internal parties and fishing trips for key management staff, very poor working environment, and minimal professional development
High employee dissatisfaction, management that is self interested and lazy, cowboy style of management, and horrible working environment.

Great work with great people
Journeyman Electrician (Former Employee), San Jose, CAJuly 29, 2013
Installing conduit and wiring along with various devices. Learned alot as i was put into a training situation helping our apprentices with their development of common and safe work practices, NEC and OSHA guidlines etc. My coworkers were an absolute great bunch of men, i cherish the experience i had working with every individual there. The hardest part – more... of the job was towards the end of completion when the hospital we were working on was to be finished. Having the stress of being laid off was not a good one. i enjoyed the work atmosphere and my fellow coworkers the most, it was a great job with a great foreman! – less

fast paced and every day is different.
Material Handler (Former Employee), Hillsboro, OROctober 23, 2012
Pros: free lunches, working mostley inside, good pay and hours
Cons: short breaks, bad unprofessional management
A typical day at work consisted of processing tools and materials in a tool tracking system and either storing them in are warehouse or delivering them to a job site. I learned how to work very hard and efficiently for long hours and how to manage a warehouse I gained many trouble shooting skills because I was on my own for many difficult decisions. – more... my mangers I worked under did not present themselves as professionals and that presented many problems for me and other co-workers. Some of the people i worked with were hard working and some were not but me and others managed to make up for what others were not able to finish. The hardest part of my job was transporting things on trucks that were bulky and unstable and worth over half a million dollars. I enjoyed all the places I went and the people I met in this job but I also liked how I was for the most part relying on myself. – less
